I just want to be sure I get this right. If I check out of a place September 2nd I will not receive the points? It has to be September first, right?.
Also let's say I have a credit card, book a stay, and close the card before I stay there. Does that mean I wont get the points?
Thank you for the help

Update: So 6,867 points were actually from Hyatt card. Only 1,500 (6*250) pts were from this promo. I had a 24,000-pts stay in early July but it looks like no points posted for it yet.

Let's see, I redeemed a night at PH Tokyo last weekend (c/o Sunday) and statement closes tomorrow. Not expecting anything this fast though.

How often does this promo usually happen on this CC? The Hyatt CC offering overall seems pretty weak versus the CSR (which I have), but the frequency of this points rebate promotion could make it worthwhile.

If you are staying at Hyatt, this card gives 4 points per dollar. More crucially, it gives 2 nights' Hyatt status credit per $5K spend, and it gives a free cat 4 night annually, and it gives another cat 4 night at $15K spend. It may help you get to 30 nights with Hyatt, which gives ANOTHER cat 4 night. And if it helps you get to Globalist, add a cat 7.
Those make it IMO a worthy competitor/adjunct to a Sapphire card.

First such rebate I have heard of. Card is not that old.

Unfortunately the Cat 4 awards are not useful for me as I typically do not stay at properties within those categories, and when I do, I prefer to book a suite outright.

I was unaware of the 2 night credit per $5k spend. I am already LTG, but it might still provide me some benefit - I only anticipate around 70 nights per year for this year and next, so it could help me hit more TSU/10k point bonuses.

They ran this same promo last year 8/1/2018 - 9/30/2018.

10% off points (award and P&C) - 10/31/16 - register by 8/31 -Chase Hyatt card holder
And again for a similar time period in 2016: 7/11/2016 - 10/31/2016
I think the 10% with CC is something we're likely to see on an ~annually basis. It doesn't cost them a lot (but is definitely valuable to certain people) and drives interest in their credit card.
