Challenges keeping track of points
i had a hotel stay in January (a transfer from another hotel due to it not being opened in time), and this is the second time post stay that points have been deducted.
I get an email notification that the points have been deducted, I know I didn’t do it so I call in. In March 30k, now another 90k. The 90 k might be tight but I can’t tell. I have a screen shot of the 30k being deducted, but that entry has disappeared from my account.
I can’t tell if they were redeposited. (Similar to if you cancel a points reservation, the deduction disappears instead of showing two offsetting transactions on the appropriate dates.)
Has anyone dig into a similar situation and found that when a deduction disappears, the points weren’t redeposited?
My Concierge is useless, will say the easiest thing that she thinks will make me go away(“the 90k weren’t deducted”, yes they were, etc.)
Any way to find out when the 30k points were redeposited? Seems like this magical disappearance (rather than offsetting transactions) makes reconciling monthly balances impossible.

If you run a regular update of your accounts on AwardWallet, you can then check how the balance has moved over time.
Whether Hyatt cares for that as proof is another matter...

I can see how the balance moved but that doesn’t mean I can tell the transactions that caused it. I book and cancel awards all the time.

The history tab in the app is not really the history by transaction date , it is slotted by reservation date. And it seems to be based off the current Hyatt feed, not the history of the balances, do they don’t reconcile (like a checkbook would with monthly balances)
ill try the desktop when when I get home.
in the meanwhile, I didn’t get the follow up from either the Globalist desk or my concierge. Anyone have a suggestion on how to escalate?
thanks!

so the history does not reflect the "true history".
