Thanks for the detailed response, MarkOk. Since I didn't use Goldpassport much at all before the transition to WOH, I thought I would check to make sure there was nothing glaring that I was missing. Apparently there is not, and I should have suspected that there the handful of disgruntled persons were more frequent in their expressions of displeasure than those who are satisfied with the product.

@HyattConcierge on Twitter is an option as well. I don't remember the last time I had to call the Gold Passport/World of Hyatt line.

How do I apply a club lounge access award? I'm explorist and about to stay in the austin hyatt regency. Do I call them or just ask when I check in?

So its actually a worthless benefit if staying at a Park Hyatt, which usually don't have lounges

Actually, it's not a benefit at all: Club lounge awards cannot be used for properties that don't have a club. This is a glaring hole in the Explo benefits.

It’s called a club lounge access award for a reason..... it was never intended to cost a property any significant amount of money like a restaurant breakfast might do.

Maybey WOH was about cost cutting afterall......

I have an upcoming stay at the Hyatt Regency Dubai using the Double Your Points rate. In the stay reminder email I received today it says

"of- DO NOT OFFER - THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE OFFER FOR WORLD OF"

under Type of Rate. Anyone know what this is about?

They're trying to tell the front desk agents not to offer the rate to walk-ups. The rate is meant for WoH members only.

What about walk-ups who happen to hold WoH membership?

if i book a hotel for a friend as a present, is it correct I'll be able to collect the points by putting myself as the guest and adding that person to my reservation? in that case how would payment work? the terms state that a first night deposit is required and the stay is for two nights
