Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Sukhumvit in Thailand REVIEW - MASTER THREAD

Greetings FlyerTalkers!

We are excited to announce plans for the Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Sukhumvit in Thailand. The hotel is expected to open in 2017, and will feature 300 guestrooms, including 26 suites, and will be part of a mixed use development that offers boutique shopping and an upscale residential tower.

The Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Sukhumvit will feature a three meal multi-cuisine restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and a bar. The hotel will also have more than 10,000 sq. ft. of contemporary meeting space, including a ballroom. Additional hotel amenities will include a six treatment room spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a club lounge.

Safe travels!

Do you know where on Sukhumvit the property is supposed to be? The Park Hyatt is on Ploenchit which is basically "lower" Sukhumvit about 2 blocks before the Grand Erawan.

While its interesting to hear about this, it's *five* years out....

How about an update on PHs Marrakech and Alem-Tejo? (And I know that the GPC team are just acting as a mouthpiece here, passing on what they're given in terms of new openings, but really....)

Looks like it will be part of the 'Trendy' complex fronting Sukhumvit Soi 13, whose construction was stopped for the past 4 years, half a block from the Sofitel.

Good to have a HR in Bangkok but Sukhumvit....?

It would have been nicer to have an option in the Sathorn - Silom area. Now that the W is coming in a month. It would have been a good option amidst the Sofitel So, Banyan Tree, Amari, W and other Ascott

Bumping this up for you Hyatt fans. This is between BTS Nana and Asok on the north side of Sukhumvit. Doubt it will really be done in 2017 from the looks of the place. IMHO, terrible neighborhood, dark and usually dirty though now that the Bangkok authorities have removed the street vendors, that may improve. Plenty of entertainment nearby. The HR small banner sign went down a few months ago, but a bigger one is back up at the street level barricades.

Bump: "Now accepting reservations for arrivals of 18 October 2017 and beyond."

Anyone BKK-based willing to brave this out for a brand credit?

Right, 2 different properties. The HP behind the Emporium is taking reservations for mid October 2017.

The HR is at Suk Soi 13. Not bookable yet. Not even showing on the web site yet.

I saw a recent job posting on glassdoor for Director of Engineering for the HR Bangkok.

Right, that's the new HP. The HR is still in construction on the north side of Sukhumvit between Nana and Asoke.

I'd like to see a Hyatt near the river. Maybe an Andaz?

A few weeks ago it was taking reservations starting Dec 1. That's quite a move up.

When has a project, regardless of brand, actually opened in accordance with an initial announcement ?
