I have an upcoming stay and read the entire thread. I saw some common themes, and thought it would be useful to start a wiki. Please feel free to update or correct anything. I haven't stayed here, so the information is based on the contents of the thread:
- Diamond Suite Upgrades are NOT available at this property.
- Diamond members receive a complimentary full breakfast for up to 4 guests.
- The beds are very firm platform beds. I saw a few posts where a foam pad for the top of the bed was requested.
- Docked cruise ships that may obstruct the view from the Harbour view rooms.
- The hotel is 4 stories.
The concierge desk offers a weekly tour of the Rocks on Saturday.
Link that shows when cruise ships will be docked opposite the hotel:

So you probably received an Opera Deluxe (standard Glob upgrade), an amenity of cake, printed fake handwritten note (Marc's were actually handwritten, although likely by staff), breakfast and an escort to the room?
Seems pretty standard to me unless something else spectacular occurred?

Yes, I have to agree. Seems shoodawg is rephrasing what he's already said but not adding any more detail.
No specific elements were listed at all. How were they warm and welcoming? What improvements did you see being made? What room did you receive? What other 'full set of benefits' did you receive?

Again, your vagueness only leads to more questions because you provide no specific detail.

We don't need fake reviews on FT and we should also stop the endless GM bashing. My observations from early June were that a number of open positions have been filled and service was much more cohesive and polished. GM was present and took care of things. Hyatt has gotten more involved in monitoring performance and benefits.
I would recommend this property again. If you are a Glob, they will take care of you.

You guys crack me up.Saying most everything I'm sometimes thinking
I had a family members birthday early this year at a Ritz Carlton and though I had been there
a handful of times before.Loved the handwritten note from the Guest Service manager as well
as a cheese and fruit platter and beautiful premium bottled waters
in a Miele built in fridge. However my favorite thing was a cluster of balloons tied in a ribbon with a weight sitting on the bed!
We were smiling ear to ear.Sometimes its just that added effort that makes all the difference.
All around me as I travel I continue to see to often operational uninspired efforts, wildly higher prices for revenue
and award and junk/nuisance fees on hotels that neverhad them before.
Expectations are up not down. And while Hyatt can still inspire there was a time when it did so more consistently.
Granted Hyatt gives Globs a free pass on junk fees as we all know to their credit.
Back to the Park Hyatt Syd.I don't have new data points as I decided not to return a few months
ago after decades of staying there.
My stay at the Sheraton was a high a value as I could hope to achieve anywhere @ 200 a night US with
an exceptional Club lounge and suite upgrade/park view high floor
Did I say welcome amenity points at check in and 5th night free?
I justify higher prices with improved recognition and amenities.
Kept returning because the team on board made the difference to justify the tab.
The amenities were always special without a birthday chocolates, strawberries, etc my favorite brand of water
and personal care that not many other hotels could match.
While the view always inspired after one stay or many stays its the way they made you feel
that forms a personal connection or not .
Jonathan Lambert concierge Marc and the former and past Guest Service manager Anthony
were simply generous and brilliant and only
once did I have a less than amazing room and even then it had a stellar view and their personal eyes on guest satisfaction
through every waking moment during my stay.
Let me say I do hope to read great things about the Park Hyatt Sydney form outstanding upkeep of the property
and exceptional globalist upgrades and personal level of service from the arrival butler to check out.
But for now at 4 to 5 x the price the PH Syd must be assured that it can differentiate
itself other than the world class views to continue to be the destination hotel of choice as it has been
for so many years other than those sold on view alone.
This has been a 777 opinion

Many people here, myself included, have posted their experiences and how they've been a notable step down from their past experiences at the Park Hyatt.

PHS has corporate accounts with Universal, Paramount, Sony etc etc
Do you think Tom books his own accommodation on PR junkets?
Also, there is no Penthouse. There are suites on L4 inaccessible to other guests.

I think the big question is did the front desk ask Tom for his business card to verify he was eligible for Paramount's corporate rate?
There are actually pics for anyone curious to see him at the PHS:

I had to call and ask when we stayed in the Rooftop Suite for 3 nights.

I don't want to believe you're a bot or posting as a shill for the hotel, because you've been on the forum since 2003. It's hard to read this or your repeated deflections from your very favorable post, though, and not wonder.
Many people here, myself included, have posted their experiences and how they've been a notable step down from their past experiences at the Park Hyatt.

will get fawned on/over no matter what.
Its great for the PR of the hotel.I once had the pleasure of the Private Wing at PHS and no one
other than those staying in the suites can even enter
the hallways without a key to the sliding glass entry doors. It felt like winning the lottery.
Thank You former management!
If lightening ever strikes me at least I can say I got to experience how the other half lives when in PH SYD.
I probably had one of the cheapo VIP suites at 3 or 4 k a night! Balcony could hold 20 guests no problem.

Quite frankly I can say even blind folded that real VIPs not mere paying well heeled customers
will get fawned on/over no matter what.

The only other suite on that level is the Sydney Suite and with a minimum booking of two nights, you are looking at spending 26,700 USD for both nights.

PHS used to have a more generous upgrade policy andI also received an upgrade to the Rooftop Suite post renovation and I liked it very much.
