The website cannot display the page

HTTP 500


Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.


What you can try:

And the Hyatt app says I have no open reservations when I click it (though I have 5)

Got that too. Now they have their web server up and you get a friendlier web page. Still down!

UPDATE: They have changed the error page to an exclusive page now showing: "Please Excuse Us While We Do a Little Housekeeping"

Wow, now I can't make reservations or even check my account status. Seems like the wrong time to bring the website down....

I called in and they said all their systems are down. Not just the website. Supposedly fixed in 30 minutes.

I think Hyatt must have hired the old web intern from SPG.

I cannot believe how often their site is down. Just ridiculous. :(

I run a commercial grade, heavily visited, well-known website with complex business functionality and we've been properly down for a total of 90 minutes in 7 years and we run it on a shoestring budget. Who are these yahoos that can't figure this out? Have they never heard of a QA environment and testing?

It's even worse when you talk to Hyatt management at events and they start saying how rare it is for Hyatt to have IT issues... :eek:
