I've posted it before, but it's probably lost in the masses of posts...

Down for maintenance = it's broke and we're trying to fix it.

Most companies adivse users of downtime in advance, or do it on a weekend and overnight.

Both the website and smartphone ap is down which is ridiculous, its not anywhere near late enough to do systemwide maintenance. Prime time for people to be traveling et al this time of the week/evening.

Still down at 8:12pm EST.

Clearly this isn't scheduled maintenance time, something went awry.

It hasn't been working right consistently for a couple of weeks. Is it the Chinese or the Russians? :D

Hyatt mobile app is a total garbage! you can't book room there and the there are 1 star reviews only.

When you provide feedback, they respond like" send me the errors it gives"!

CPRich Dec 5, 2015 8:13 pm

"Down for maintenance" after 10 minutes of uselessly trying to look for rooms.

I tried looking up properties when thinking about an SPG status match, and am now looking after it was approved. I've yet to get anything useful in two trips. something tells me I'm not going to be using my status much - first impressions are lasting, and this one is terrible.

Not sure if this is considered a website issue, but I got an email that points were deducted from my account, even though I did not request for points redemption. When I logged into my account, there was no recent point activity... Error email?

I got this email as well and when I logged in my account seemed fine, the points and activity were where they should be. Hope this is just an IT flub.

The Hyatt website issues are massive right now. I am looking for availability in NYC. When you check off points options and also click the box for AAA, Promotional Award / Free Night comes up at most available NYC hotel including the Park Hyatt. Now put aside that none of these hotels are category 1-4, the bigger issue is that when you click on rate rules, it shows the AAA rate terms making it appear as if this is a AAA promotion for a free night. I'm terrible with technology (and have no idea how to insert an image) otherwise I'd attach the snapshot. Not sure this is directly related to the HP issues because you can view this without logging into your account.

Still can't cancel reservations and can't make reservations unless I use a credit card other than the Hyatt Visa. With the latter, I continually get the message that I have an invalid credit card expiration date - which is not the case.

called the reservation toll free line to book3 nights stay in Nepal. The agent was like " Why Hyatt and why Hyatt in Kathmandu? I told her why are you even asking me this question, she responds, the reservation has to be for business or pleasure. I told her its the later but I ain't booking with you cos you are way out of the line. She says she asks that to all guests for stays at any Hyatt anywhere.

She's probably looking to get fired. That is out of line and why else would you call a Hyatt reservation line if not to book a Hyatt...

I asked for her info during the call and she says she is Kerry. That's it and no ID or anything. Sound's like guy's name. I called the Guest Relation later and complained about her but the rep says there could be many in that name and without additional info, it is hard to know who or track who that was but said sorry. She said they can ask nicely if the reservation was for business or pleasure and it is actually to know if there will be conference and to see if there will be corporate rates discounts. But she told me the first agent was way out of the line with " Why the Hyatt? When asked why does it matter, responds back with " it has to be business or pleasure ONLY!
