Las Vegas Codes and Promos

Staying on strip can still involve a lot of walking as the hotels are very big and just walking past one can be a trek. I'd recommend cross referencing between looking at a map, checking reviews on somewhere like Trip Advisor and then looking for discount codes in the big post a few posts back. And rent a car. Check the car rental threads for codes. You should be able to get a car per day for less than a couple cab rides and for anyone concerned about too much walking it could be a good idea. Almost every resort has free valet parking.

Stayed at TI on a discount.
Was very easy to get from casino to casino using rental car.
Stay off Las Vegas Blvd take the back roads and almost no traffic.
Saved us lots of time and energy. It is way too hot during the day and only slightly less horrible at night if you are walking.
I found it quicker sometimes to use the self-park lots then wait for valet.

There's a promo right now, book early and save, usually a lot cheaper than what i see on expedia.
You can find it at www.mycheapvegas.com
I'd try to avoid priceline or hotwire since it seems location is important to you.

Use Expedia... You can stay midweek at most Vegas hotels under $50.
Use harrahs resorts since they charge no resort fee.. MGM is extra $25 a night
Off the strip.. Station casinos are good value and nice

I am a huge Cirque du Soleil fan, I have seen at least a dozen shows in many different countries, but have to agree with prior poster than Zumanity was god-awful.
Anyway I found this for Vdara on SD: VRSUME1SE. Stackable with Amex promo for $70 credit and potentially 15% back. See http://milesabound.com/vdara-las-vegas-promo/

Thanksgiving weekend
I know it's early, but isn't that how to land the best deal.
I going to Vegas November 21st to November 24th and looking for a room for 2.
I prefer cosmopolitan but I can't find anything out there. Maybe it is too early.
Thanks

Sigh, I'm completely overwhelmed with the Vegas choices. We're four girls, just staying 2 nights, Sunday to Tuesday. We were originally gonna just cram into one room, but instead have now decided to just get 2 rooms. Unless we can find a must have hotel where we don't mind sharing one bathroom. But frankly, as the girl that's not a drinker, going with three of her best friends who are? Kinda wanting to have the two rooms. lol
In any case, our budget is not more than 60-75 per person, per night. So I've been looking at New York New York, Tropicana, Harrahs. The lower end of the scale I suppose. I would have loved to do the Venetian, but just not in the budget this time. Any Vegas vets know which of the more value priced strip hotels would be best for first timers? We're a split group, half partiers/half atmospheric 'omg it's VEGAS!'

pipervali, $60-75 pp per night and there is 4 of you going sun to tues? You could get 4 good rooms for that much. Bid on Priceline, north strip, 4 star, $60ish, you will get Mirage or TI, both are great. If you don't get it, add Strip South, bid 65 or 70. You will get something very nice in one of the big resorts at a very good price. Don't need to overthink it.

Thanks for the advice!
I'm actually looking to stay away from TI, simply for the fact I've had two different friends who've stayed there and were completely disappointed. Any idea what the South Strip properties would be on Priceline or Hotwire? I've actually never used either site when it comes to bidding, but I'm certainly open to there being a first time for everything.
Thanks again!

Go down to Las Vegas Strip South.
Hotwire is great too (just used them last weekend and was very happy) but last few times I checked with them their 4 star strip availability was not so hot. If you like post your dates and I or someone else here could decode the Hotwire listing for you. Priceline has slightly better prices so I usually recommend them first.

Thanks again, to both of you
We're going in October, the 7th-9th, which I'm now coming to realize is one of the more expensive periods it would seem. I'm debating whether I should hold off over the summer and then keep an eye out for good deals closer to our travel dates(we're spending 5 days in LA before the drive to Vegas). Or conversely, wait to go for something on Priceline/Hotwire until later on, since it's still more than three months out.
I wouldn't be opposed to cramming all of us into one room if I could get the Venetian on Priceline, since it's a 5 star. But I could also get the Wynn or the Palazzo too it seems.
