How are some of you using 12,000 points + cash?

I only see a 2,000 points + cash option.

If you go to almost the final booking page, there is a slider that lets you choose more points, and less cash.

Anyone found a way to make it work? The one in Quebec City redirects me to Tryp by Windham and I don't see any way to use Melia Rewards there.

IMHO, legally speaking, would be better if you book a rate pts+cash, since with payment you're virtually signing a binding contract with them.
An only pts reservation can be interpreted.

I even cannot log into accounnt created Yesterday.I guess the deal will be dead soon if not already as the bloggers like view from wing spotted the thread here and put it in their site...and off course no mention to original source.

I'm not going to try because I really don't care enough, but you might want to try to book these over the phone with Melia
