Hi all, here is the trip report from the December trip. I did most of the things on the itinerary. A general note is that most if not all places are easily accessible via public transport. I had a great time in HK, check out some satiric writing and juicy photos here:

Is Tai O the same as Lei Yue Mun ?

Tai O is a traditional fishing village located on Lantau Island. Lei Yue Mun is a small village area

Is Tai O the same as Lei Yue Mun ?

Tai O is a traditional fishing village located on Lantau Island. Lei Yue Mun is a small village area in the harbour, close to Yau Tong MTR station, or accessible by ferry from Sai Wan Ho (on Hong Kong Island).

Tai O would be a lot more interesting and worthwhile.

IMO Tai O was definitely worth it the time. Go early on a quiet morning, and take in the scene before the crowds of tourists ruin the atmosphere.
