43k after using 80k for 2 nights at the HHV. Don't like to keep points too long as they tend to decrease in value over time.

300k current / 800k lifetime

I've earned 800k since I joined, but currently have 300k thanks to some wonderful Christmas weekends up in New York City over the last few years. The staff at the Waldorf=Astoria went above and beyond making them memorable Christmas memories for my family and I. Gotta give credit to Mr. Eric Long and his top-notch staff for providing truly personalized service! Burned up some more on trips to Chicago and Arizona. Hilton has some top-notch boutique properties that offer true regal treatment. Family, needless to say, has been impressed! Hopefully, I haven't set my kids standards too high with what they consider to be a good vacation...

~200,000 now. It was a shock to see my balance after just withdrawing 575,500 last week for 3 6 night stays, 1 3 night stay, and 1 1 night stay awards.

How can you find out your lifetime balance as some have posted that?

Most Ft'ers are savants when t comes to this, many have spreadsheets, and others can tell you how much of a bonus they got on a stay in 1996 or how much it cost for an ALON in 2000.

I don't believe there is anyway to find out this info from a monthly statement or on the website. Those who post it have been keeping track of it themselves or are estimating...but I don't think you'll "find" it anywhere...

Cool

Current Point Balance: 7503

just redeemed 100,000 points.

last december, redeemed 175,000 points (6 night ALON2) plus 70,000 points (or whatever, maybe 90,000 ???) for the extra 2 nights at HHV.

glad to be burning them as I earn them. they keep changing the program. hoarding these things is a fool's game.

New member looking to maximize points with HHonors

I have been travelling on Business for the past 5 months and still haven't reached the 20000 mark. Any suggestions on how to maximize points???

Yes, continue to read Flyertalk!

I'm not sure what HHonors level you are, but switching your double dip options to "point & points" might help.

Buy a Hilton Grand Vacation Club ownership and then send a few referrals to see the property. 40K for each referral, regardless if they purchase or not!

We purchased ours on the resale market and pay about 40% of what they want on a direct basis. If anyone wants more info, drop me a email.

Cheers,

Steve
