my pile
i have about 346K in my little pile o' HH points...and i am perfectly happy....if i had a million, i'd be scared of the power ;-)
I need to get 3 stays in before the end of month to be GOLD again and i wish i had taken advantage of the pre-june 1 point changes - that'll teach me not to look at balances (check book, frequent flyer, etc.) more than quarterly, eh?

687,239 as of today. Only used 80k last year, because I drained my Starwood account to stay at the the Lanai properties before they left the program. (and the way it turned out, the beach property was rebranded to Four Seasons by the time we got there, but was under construction) Otherwise we were doing 6 or 12 nts/year at HWV.
Like a previous note, my Hilton stays have decreased but the HHonors Amex is helping keep my balance up. Company preferred chain is now Marriott. I have about 400k, my wife 220k, so we have choices. I still have my favorites Hiltons, but have enjoyed a few JW Marriott properties also.

Although, a) I'm only actually 'in residence' 40 weeks of the year, b) I have additional Hilton/non-Hilton (at my discretion) business stays, and c) my wife and son stay with me all the time I am at the Hilton apartment - which has been highly personalised by my wife - it is possible to have both a life and 200 plus nights a year. I grant you, in my case they are not spent 'in a strange room'.
And then, as rwill11 puts it, there are those free nights in Rome, unplugged and sipping wine at sunset.

I worked hard to collect those ... it's seems sad to see them all gone. But that's what they're for.

Proud to say 350k (+2 nights Cat 6 Cert) without any CCs!!
I used a bunch last year, but I've been quite happy at Hilton, so I'm stayin' awhile (plus I'm too tired to start over again).
