If I book a day rate for Sept 8 (following a stay at another property September 7-8), any ideas if it would trigger the frequency bonus? I seem to remember day rates usually do count as a stay for promo purposes...

From the T&C's of the promotion:
If I check-in before May 6, 2019, or check-out after September 8, 2019, do I still earn credit for that stay?
Registered Hilton Honors members will receive a bonus only for the nights of an eligible stay completed during the Promotion Period. Members checking in before May 6, 2019 will receive credit for their stay if the stay is completed after May 6, 2019 and prior to or on September 8, 2019. Members will not receive bonus credit for any stay that is completed after September 8, 2019, even if part of their stay overlaps with the promotion period.

For future reference: the day rate did trigger the 20k bonus for me. As an additional unexpected bonus, it also increased my night count by 1 (I was expecting 1 stay and 0 nights added).

So I only registered for this promo yesterday, but today I got an e-mail from Hilton indicating I had already satisfied the first stay requirement for the promo and all my future stays would earn double points. But as I mentioned, I only registered yesterday and the only Hilton stay I have during the promo period is an award stay from back in May, long before I registered.
Does anyone have experience with receiving double points after having their first stay be prior to registering for the promo?
(Apologies if this has already been covered, I only briefly skimmed the 150+ posts so far.)
