Excellent news! I have a couple of expensive stays coming up where a flat 2K would have been unfortunate.

I did 15 one-night stays in the current promo and got 60K extra points.

15 one-night stays in the next promo looks like it will only get 25K points. While there is double points, I would have to spend US$3500 pre-tax, or $233 per night to get 60K again.

I will be using my UK Amex 20% off and 30% off Hilton offers though, which are far more lucrative than this promo.

Looks like Hilton is taking a rather annoying page out of Marriott's book with this second stay business.

Lots of business travelers are going to be seeking out those combined-brand properties (e.g. Homewood and Hampton in the same building), and a lot of corporate expense departments are going to be seeing a bunch of extra complicated expense reports.

Last(current) promo netted me 104k bonus points... (I typical have 1-night stays to maximize points)... new promo will net me ~30% less than the current, but I can't complain about the free points.

Yeah, sigh. If only this had been in effect for my stay at the Conrad Maldives last month.

My first intended stay will be an expensive one. This means: book a cheap extra stay first - or get no bonus. Would a reward stay be ok as stay number one ?

I was just able to get to it. Couldn't activate - if you can't active it, don't put it on the website...

When I had it up it also said if you have any questions look at the FAQ's - but there was no link to any.

Where is Lauren? She's usually very good at laying out all the details. I think they are still working on them and want to wait until everything is set.

And many of us have got to scramble and book a cheapo stay if a points stay does not count as a first, don't want to waste my pricey stays that are coming after that.

So after 20 stays, one would get 45k points (10 stay, 15 stay and 20 stay bonuses) plus the double points for the amount spent per stay.

Will award stays count for the 10, 15 and 20 stay bonuses? Hoping it will like it did with previous promotions.
