I don't gamble much by any means but just with my mlife card, it is costing me $130 for 3 nights at Aria.

Hi,
I was on the strip several times last week and the street driving signs now say Waldorf Astoria and on the top of the building the MO logo has been replaced by a white WA logo ( although they should probably change the photo on the WA home page;
https://waldorfastoria3.hilton.com/e...d=kwd-12692521
as the Monte Carlo is now Park MGM!)
Regards

I noticed the WA-LV was recently added to the list of Hilton Resorts (though oddly it doesn't show up when filtering by North America-USA-Nevada), which should mean it's eligible for the Aspire card $250 resort credit.

That's good news. I have an award stay there on NYE. Too bad I applied in February, so my credits won't re-up by then. But it gives me another good nearby option. This year I used the credits at the Hilton Palm springs.

So just got back from 2 nights at the Waldorf Astoria using the 2 free nights from the defunct Hilton Reserve card. I am a Hilton Gold member. Did not get any room upgrade, although I didn't bother asking for any at check-in either. Default room was City View, which for me was just 1 floor above the small pools of the Waldorf. Was hoping for at least an automatic upgrade to Strip View room. Gold+ free breakfast benefit is $25pp/night (up to 2 people). The receptionist informed me that it could be used for pretty much any food at any time (not limited to breakfast). We used the credit both days for breakfast at Zen Kitchen (menu prices accurate on Opentable). Therefore I can't verify for non-breakfast purchases. Either way, I had to fix my bill at check-out anyway. The breakfast credits were not applied and the resort fee was not waived.
As for the resort itself, I appreciated that it was a non-casino establishment so that there was no cigarette smoke. Service was overall great. On our first day at Zen Kitchen, people's (including ours) food orders was slightly delayed/slow and the lady Kristi told us that we could help ourselves to the breakfast buffet bar in the meantime.
A few tips:
- $30 valet parking only. If you are MLife Pearl or higher, you can park in one of the Aria garages(I believe there are 2, one is right next to the Waldorf) for free and walk along the sidewalk to get to the Waldorf(5-10 min walk). Although there a long set of stairs to get down to the Waldorf, so may not be ideal if you have a lot of luggage. There might be an elevator somewhere, but I didn't look closely.
- There is still the complimentary house car perk (carryover from Mandarin Oriental) which will take you somewhere close on the strip, but is on a first-come first-serve basis. I tried using it to go to Hard Rock Hotel, but all the cars were out so just called an Uber instead.
- Zen Kitchen isn't that big, so during main breakfast hours there can be a wait. We waited 10 min at 9:30am for 2 people. Not sure if they do reservations for breakfast.

I had a good 3 night stay at this hotel. Diamond member booked with points, city view room. No upgrade for the first night. they offered strip view room for the remaining 2 nights but I declined ( I do not like to switch rooms unless necessary). Diamonds get $25 per person per night F&B credit. they can be used anytime of the day. I specifically asked if it can be applied toward SPA or parking. Negative, F&B only. I once had lunch at Zen Kitchen. the credit was applied correctly ( Great Burger). Zen closes from 4-5 pm ( 1 hour to prepare dinner setup).
The Sky bar at the lobby level is always packed. I used to frequent this lounge for tea or coffee. great quite place with great views. not anymore, it is now always packed. probably because of the complimentary tea/ coffee service which is included in the resort fee.
Nice to have this option in Vegas.

Thanks for the OpenTable lead. Checked out the menu.
Dang though. Gonna need those 2x $25 credits just to get some eggs. I know it's Vegas, but... geez.

Great news as I have had mean tabs ($250+) at the bar. Aspire may be worth it just for this benefit.

Has anyone stayed here now that it's all up-and-running that can comment on the tea room?
I'm a Diamond guest, and was wondering if the "complimentary tea/ coffee service" is just that - coffee and tea - or is it an exec lounge sort of affair where the scones and noshies are included? I saw some photos of their high tea, and the pastries look impressive. I suspect, if they're "giving" this tea room away to everyone for the resort fee, then it's not all that, but one can hope for at least a Doubletree-esque cookie snuck over from the Trop or something...
Also curious about the car perk. Can you make a reservation to use it? Airport pickup or dropoff with it?
It's 80k points for a night at the WA, vs. 40k points a night at the HGI literally across the street / highway. I'm in town for a night during a trade show, so not going to be at the hotel much during the day. I guess HGI ='s hot breakfast there for 40k less, but probably a dollar higher/five-minute longer Uber to and from the convention center... Is WA worth double the points for WA vs HGI? Assumedly not, but I'm gonna stay there sometime, I suppose... To me, this trip, it's about the lounge and food perks, so unless there's a killer tea or the brekkie is something special, the needle swings to HGI this go-round.
