I am not suprised to hear of low occupancy as the rates for Tallinn seem quite highish...

I will be there on Monday and will test it out I will ask for early check in and late check out so we will see

Im here now, early check in no problem nor was late checkout. Staff seem still really lost...

Many small issues and housekeeping has fallen behind in many areas... Front desk stated they do not have enough housekeeping staff hired yet?!

Welcome gift was some cheese and hard bread sticks... The vanatallinn and chocolates would have been better

So far lots of excuses but little action but perhaps this will change.

The rooms are lovely views are wonderful, staff are trying and very friendly.

Spa is nice but needs more cleaning. Items and dirt in pools and staff were notified 8 hours ago about this!!

Very quiet at the hotel, maybe due to prices... Cheapest room today was 156€!!

I will try it again in a month or two before i decide if this will be my go to hotel in Tallinn or not it has potential

Uber or taksi. Taksis in Tallinn are not expensive. The airport is VERY close to the center

Stayed here one night!

Hotel is nice, lots of space, beautiful hotel, large prk near hotel, great views!

Hotel has alot of opening issues, small issues to be fair but still not running smoothly... THIS is 100% my opinion!

CAFE LINNUTEE bad service over prices items!

The able butcher food was good service was slow portions small!

Cleaning was off. Elevators were very dusty, mirrors full of hand/fingerprints in Public spaces and rooms

Hallways littered throughout stay

Spa was beautiful, spacious, but 50% showers allready inoperable which caused some problems! Pools were dirty. Staff said only cleaned once a week!!

Exec lounge space wise very nice! Service very nice. Staff allways present! Offerings were weak... Staff could not even tell me what was to be offered as kitchen staff would not tell them!

Lots of confusion withon departments, clearly they are still looking for their spot.

Breakfast was good. Service was attentive. Options were fine and espresso made to order.

Bellman was awesome! Everytime we passed him he greeted us and asked if anything he could help us with.

Over all this hotel has alot of potential! Hopefully they will sort things out!

Views from top floors are nice!!

Diamond upgrade was nice, not really sure what the diamond amenety was! No chocolates nor vana tallinn were delivered...

I will return once they get setteled

Thumbs up

I stayed there again for a couple of nights and seems they have listened our feedback!

No more dust on the elevator mirrors though the led spot & mirror setup is really problematic in that sense.
The lounge offering has also enhanced a lot and now seems to be one of the better lounges I've been to (by the food offerings) though the service hours for the evening cocktails and "snacks" are only from 18:00 to 20:00.

Some pictures of the lounge offerings:

This time they didn't have any IT or key card issues although I had to join couple of reservations and I had two rooms for the seconds night etc.

Also the service at the breakfast was faster and more consistent.

I'm happy to see the positive development of this property the and already traveling back there next Monday.

Really nice stay at this new Hilton (6 Photos)

Check In

My checkin experience was very friendly. I was provided an upgrade to an Executive Room with my Gold HHonors status, which included Executive Lounge Access and breakfast in the lounge or restaurant. The receptionist offered me late checkout due to my status, which was much appreciated before a late flight on my checkout day several days later.

Location

This hotel is located walking distance to old town at the edge of a lovely park. There is a supermarket and liquor store nearby. There was also a department store where I did some shopping. The location seemed safe and I was comfortable walking around at day or night. There is a full casino in the basement of the hotel, however I did not have a chance to visit it. The hotel is not far from the hotel. It would be an easy distance taxi or I used Uber which was approximately three Euros one-way.

Room

I really liked the room. It is well-designed with a very comfortable bed and a great bathroom. I really liked that I could access YouTube from the television - I could pull up many things to watch right from YouTube. The chaise lounge was lovely for enjoying the sunset. The drapes were full blackout curtains, which was great in the summer as the night is quite short at this northerly latitude. Note that there is a window with no shade between the  bathroom and the bedroom, so if you are sharing a room with someone, this may be a concern. There is a fogged glass door for privacy around the toilet cubicle. As I was traveling along, I liked being able to natural light in the bathroom, but some travelers might not like that there isn't a closable shade for the bathroom.IMG_20160710_220230828_HDR[1].jpgIMG_20160710_220145424[1].jpgIMG_20160710_220058675[1].jpgIMG_20160710_220156265_HDR[1].jpg

Executive Lounge

I enjoyed the Executive Lounge. The employees in the lounge provided great service. They were happy to research tourist sites and recommended bars for good beer. The lounge provided a light breakfast as well as happy hour. During happy hour, complimentary wine, spirits, and Estonian beer were available, as well as light hors d'oeurves. There are a number of tables available, and two apple computers. I was able to print boarding passses at no charge. Sodas and bottled water (still and sparkling) were accessible at no charge throughout the day. IMG_20160710_214656913_HDR[1].jpgIMG_20160710_215830009[1].jpg

Dining

Breakfast in the restaurant is quite nice, and may be compliementary depending on your rate or HHonors status. There is a variety of hot and continental items, including some Estonian selections, fresh breads and pastries, coffees, juices, and a cook-to-order station, where a chef will prepare eggs and omelettes. The restaurant is also open for dinner and has a lovely outdoor dining patio.

Service

I found all of the employees that I encountered to be extremely friendly and helpful. I was greeted every time I entered or left the lobby.

Really nice stay at this new Hilton

Stayed here for a night and pleasantly surprised. Very close to airport - about €5 for the taxi. Very friendly staff: checked in at the Executive Lounge and upgraded to a suite. Small welcome amenity of cheese and Tallinn liquor.

10 minute walk to the Old Town so great location for us.

Room was fine although already showing signs of wear. Executive Lounge evening service starts at 6PM. Average spread of food. Very average wine and only a few spirits - gin, vodka and rum I think.

Able Butcher was a real disappointment. Lousy service and very poor food - won't bother again.

Breakfast in lounge was perfectly OK.

I stayed in this hotel last Tuesday and used the sauna. Me and another guest were both wearing swimwear.
The staff in the EL and in the restaurant were very nice and enthusiastic. I also got the welcome amenity of cheese and Estonian liquor. The pool was also very nice

Thanks filiponotraveller. That's useful advice. Ive got a number of stays there in 2017. love a hotel with a great pool and healthclub, though was reading in fodors travelguide that saunas are strictly nude in Estonia though I'm sure that's does not apply to international hotels! Did you get a suite upgrade? I note some Diamonds on here refer to suite upgrades which is kind of nice but the welcome amenity you got seems above average also. Looking forward to checking out this property.

Yes I got upgraded to a one bedroom suite The welcome amenity I got was almost the same as what another gold member here got, an Estonian liquor except I got bread and cheese instead of chocolates. The hotel apart from being new, didn't have much guests so I guess they were really trying their best to give great service. One staff in the restaurant who chatted with me also asked if I could write some feedback on tripadvisor. Enjoy ur trip
