According to the conditions on the web All stays are eligible to earn Hilton HHonors™ Points., so we would get points/miles but no stay/night credit?

There is nothing in the Terms and Conditions of this promotion that states that Stays nor Nights are excluded.

Why would Hhonors customer service advise that they are excluded?

Just checked with HH Customer Care by phone. This is a family rate and family rates aren't eligible for stay credit, according to the agent.

So no stay credit.

I'm just wondering if Hilton's left hand isn't giving its right hand the correct info (wouldn't be the first time). True 'family' rates, i.e. for Hilton employees, wouldn't count. But this is a public rate, the 'friends and family' thing is just a catch phrase. If it really didn't count as a stay the T & C's should clearly state that and, as has been pointed out, they don't.

I have had the experience when having to call to get credit for a MVP stay which was in the $50 range the CSR just assumed it didn't qualify for a stay because of the price- turned out he was wrong

This rate is not a "friends and family" rate, in my reservation it appears as "Thank you rate". There is no "friends and family" in the rate details.

Still no word from the DD. When I sent the original email, I included the link to the Promotion page. They said no to credits, so until I hear more I'm not risking this (regardless of the cheap finds).

Agent said that, because this offer is the same as an employee rate, there is no stay credit. I agree that the terms and conditions as laid out in the offer are misleading to say the least.
