Doubletree BKK now accepting reservations
Been trying to book this property for awhile; finally today noticed reservations are being accepted. Was hoping for much better rates... Am going in Mid-April and early June. Won't let me book mid April yet, but June lowest rate is 121 USD for the weekend I need.

I noticed the booking possibilities before noticing this thread. My question is, if a Cat 3 hotel is pricing at 20K pts, and the points tool is showing 20k pts per night for all months, why is this hotel only bookable at 25K pts per night?

It occurred to me after the fact that this might be the case. Considering that they aren't even taking bookings before May 1 it just is odd, but your response is certainly reasonable.

Just found point redemption value posted for this hotel...looks like 25k points or 12.5k + $45 US after tax for dates I currently have Conrad Bangkok booked on a points/cash redemption (17.5k + about 70 USD after tax per night).
According to the reward checker it will drop to 20k/night after March 28.
Anyone have knowledge of this property or the area around it? Thanks!

Soi 26 and the surroundings are a big Japanese area so expect many restaurants to cater to them. Also close to Phrom Pong BTS and the uber expensive Emporium mall.
Thankfully a bit away from the seediness of Nana.
