Posting of Internet Booking Points
Just wondering if I am the only one having problems with the 1,000 point bonus for booking on the internet posting with reservations at Hampton Inns. The stays post fast but do not include the online booking bonus for most of them. Three of my nine stays this year did include the booking online bonus and the others did not. Thought the computer would take care of all this and eliminate the need to call or email concerning this.
|
Had three stays at same Hampton Inn which were booked on-line. Points and on-line bonus (1,500 points) posted at same time within three days of each stay.
|
I had two stays at Hilton Tokyo and Shanghai last year which were both booked online. The regular points showed quickly on my account, but not the 1000 online bonus. Afterwards I called the service centre and got them credit into my account without any problem.

1500 bonus points have posted everytime.
BTW, does anyone know why some of us get 1000 and others 1500 ???. I am a Diamond for reference purposes jon |

I have had 4 stays within the last few weeks. The 1000 point bonus has not posted automatically for any of them. An email to HHonors customer support should take care of it. But I have a feeling I will need to do it after every stay.

Booked on-line twice in Dec-01. On-line bonus posted automatically both times.
Booked on-line in Jan-02. On-line bonus not posted as of today. I sent an email to customer service telling them that the points for the stay posted, but not the bonus. This was about two weeks ago. Still have received no response. But I won't quit checking! |
Missing points? --Scandia problem?
Am HH Gold. Recently, in 3/02, I stayed 8 nights at an H hotel now( formerly Scandia) received 1,100 points and stating that I stayed only 6 nights. Does this make any sense for 8 days? Or, even for 6? Also mage reservation via internet, but did not even see 1,000 points for that. Does one have to register with S separately in former S hotels?

Missing Points
I have missing points for incidentals at the HHV on an ALON stay. Our paid stay at the same hotel posted very promptly (while we were on the alon).
I called the hotel a week after our return & they indicated that they've had problems with points posting and faxed me a copy of the bill (I didn't have one). So far, I've sent an email to customer svc with the particulars of the say, and on 7/2 faxed a letter with a copy of the bill to them. I haven't heard anything yet. My experience with dealing with customer service has been very good and they have always been prompt. Am I being impatient? What is a reasonable time to wait? Mary |
I would say that enough time has gone by to make a polite call about it. Your fax may have gotten lost, etc.

Am I missing any points/miles?
Howdy all you Hhonors Hot-shots!
I'm wrapping up my travel details for an upcoming trip to the east coast and want to see if I've covered all my bases on mileage/points to be earned... I'm booking 4 different Hilton locations: 5k/10k/15k/20k promo Booked online: 2500 pts. per reservation? National Car Rental bonus: 250 miles bonus at hotel counter per location. (Although I may be booking my car with Avis unless I find a better rate.) Are there any Avis/Hhonors bonuses? Airline Double Dip: I've noticed a few special bonuses - any thoughts on best? (DL, AA, UA, NWA) Well that's what I've come up with so far. If anyone notices anything I've missed, please let me know. This is my first extensive "effort" of earning a bunch of miles/points on one trip. Thanks for all the help on FT! (By the way, for anyone traveling to CT soon... the Doubletree Norwalk has a 63.00 non ref. rate and a 70.00 "best avail" rate.) |
