I was offered 50k Honors points to listen to the presentation while at in NYC; sat through it and declined to buy due to not liking the idea of time shares. They gave us the choice of going to any of their properties and we ended up choosingHawaii, staying at the Lagoon Tower in a 2 bed unit for 7 nights, I think itwas $1200. Had to go to another presentation there, which was not high pressure either, and left the meeting without buying; however, I did end up going back to the rep later in the week and buying in at the lowest level/cost that they had.
Since then I’ve upgrade my package and haven’t had any negative experiences (knock on wood) with their program. Biggest complaint is my Hilton Honors Diamond doesn’t get any benefits since HGVC and Hilton are separate entities.
As far as the Vegas discussion from earlier; my favorite property to stay at is either the Elara or Flamingo. It’s only a 4 hour drive for me, so I like to use the cash rates and head there for the weekend with some frequency.
Elara: Awesome building and more modern look than the rest. Even though it doesn’t have its own casino it’s attached to the Miracle Mile and a short walk through there takes you to Planet Hollywood
Flamingo: Great location, but some of the rooms are a little dated
Boulevard: North strip next to circus circus. No casino but nice pool and spa and I think is more towards families, based on location and amenities.
I haven’t stayed at Trump or Paradise yet

Was offered a 3 night stay in Myrtle Beach, but wasn't interested in going there. Managed to get them to offer a 6 day/5 night at King's Land in Waikoloa, with $200 certificate, 5k Honors points, 6 day car rental, for $799. Upgraded to 2 BR for additional $100 per night, all in was around $1400. I then cancelled the exact same stay I had already booked a couple of months ago with Hilton for $2k (without the bonuses of course)
I haven't done one of these timeshare deals before, but I intend for the only words out of my mouth to be "sorry" and "no".

The presenter and his manager were both pretty reasonable and I went in with a fair amount of knowledge of what we pay for rooms when we travel and also the availability of timeshares on the resale market. I wasn't painful for us at all and they knew fairly quickly from our discussion that we weren't going to buy.

I'm in NY. They actually started off with Hilton Head Island. Was there a year ago so no interest. Then they offered Myrtle Beach and I asked it they had anything in Kona (already knowing that they have a property there).

I was offered Orlando 6 nights, $599, including Universal Studio tickets x2 for the week and 20k Hilton points. The time in which I needed to book and travel was extended to September 2019. Originally booked, but decided to cancel as, realistically, we would not go. If you get one of the offers, it is worth holding out for better perks which they add in as the call continues.

Do you have free cancellation? If so, try calling and telling them you're thinking of cancelling. You might be able to extract something more out of them. Never hurts to try.

Hilton Head
Do you remember what they offered you for Hilton Head Island this time around? I live in South Carolina and have done the Myrtle Beach on but would like to take advantage of the Hilton Head Island one!

Wow you guys I was only offered Orlando, Vegas, and Myrtle Beach and I told them I had zero interest in planning a trip to any of those locations anytime soon. I did tell them that we were wanting to travel more West Coast and Hawaii and possibly NY but none of those places were offered. Bummer.

Did they call you or send that to you in a email? Did they offer you anything else?
