I have a 1 week reservation for a 4WD/AWD 7 Passenger Standard SUV (L4, FRAR) - One way from LA to VEGAS.
I have added SiriusXM® Satellite Radio to the reservation. For 2 reasons, I want the XM radio and second I am hoping for a better optioned vehicle overall.
I am going to be collecting the vehicle from the LAX Hilton Hotel HLE, there was no price difference for this location and it was chosen as I was not offered the XM radio option at the main LAX location for this class of vehicle?
So my question is will hertz always supply a vehicle with SiriusXM® Satellite Radio if reserved ? And if so does anyone know which of the options it would more likely be for an FRAR (7 seat) SUV?
Thanks

I don't think this really needs a new thread or anything, but I also don't think it's been discussed anywhere here. Noticed this maybe a week ago for the first time and just noticed again, at the bottom of Hertz.com:
"Hertz Rents Chrysler Group Vehicles and Other Fine Cars."
Back in the day the rental companies were owned by car makers for a while, Hertz was by Ford as many of you remember. But I don't think there's any common ownership at play here today right? I suspect it's purely a paid promotional consideration of some sort.
Of course, just like I didn't usually get Ford products even when Hertz was still owned by Ford, I don't usually get Chrysler products now.

Looking for advice on my situation: I'm in NJ for 2 months and need a car. My daily commute would be around 15 miles round trip. I was able to find a combination of CDP + coupon that lets me place a reservation on an ECAR for $575 a month (ICAR is ~$100 more per month).
I have never rented for this long, so a couple of questions. Are Hertz ECAR/CCARs reasonably maintained? Back home, my Hertz location always gives me nice upgrades so I've never received a E/C, but this is an HLE and most likely I won't get any upgrades other than probably to a CCAR. I'm told that the E/Cs are most abused ones so finding a good E/C is hard. If I don't like the car I get, can I ask for a bump to an I/F for the same rate code as I book now? Can I do this switch a few days into the reservation or do I have to do that when I get the car initially (because I won't know if the car is good enough for my commute until I try it for a day or two)?
I did think of breaking up the reservation. However, there is a $5 per day domestic security fee in NJ for a max of $140, so if I break up the reservation I end up paying more.
TIA!

Saw a beautiful bright yellow 2014 Stingray in returns tonight at LAX while waiting for the shuttle. Manager I was chatting with said they now had two, were expecting more. Apparently going for ~$300 a day... Might splurge for one for a couple of days next week...

US fleet list for Hertz -- What car might you get?
@andythepandy I just want to point out that loss and damage coverage from Amex is only up to 30days. Other forms of coverage might have a similar clause. So if you haven't already done so you might want to check your coverage.

I think the best option would be to break up the rental into (atleast) two so that I can get the Amex premium protection.

Even though the PCAR/LCAR categories seem to get closer, in my opinion LCAR should still be somewhat "more elite" than the PCAR (I would think of "luxury" being more than "premium").
Surprising though to me is that the MB E class is a PCAR, whereas the C class is a LCAR. I would have thought it the other way round. If I quote prices they are the same for both cars, but nevertheless the vehicles are completely different category and size in reality.

LFAR - Escalade AWD/Lincoln Navigator LFAR are now combined!!
Not sure I'd be happy booking an Escalade and getting a Navigator!

Thanks @taibremen. I called up Amex and got confused with the response. My understanding was that they only cover rentals 30 days or less within a 45 consecutive day period. However, the phone rep said the 30 days gets reset if you leave 1 business day between rentals.
I think the best option would be to break up the rental into (atleast) two so that I can get the Amex premium protection.
