HA Lounge Access Question
I have an itinerary, KOA-HNL-ORD-EU, where the KOA-HNL segment is in HA Y, the HNL-ORD is in UA F, and the ORD-EU is in *A C
For some reason, the Loungebuddy app seems to allude that I can access the HA Premier Club at KOA (not that it's worth it other than to get A/C), but also seems to allude I have access to the HA lounges in HNL - both just with my BP. Is this a mistake? (Of course, the KOA lounge is keypad only.. so that'd be interesting)
From what I read online, I can't see how this would be the case. I have access with Priority Pass to the other HA lounge in HNL, but mostly curious.
Is it really the case that an Int'l C flight, with a commencing segment in HA Y have HA lounge access at KOA and HNL?
Note: KOA-HNL at noon, HNL-ORD redeye, ORD-EU the following day.

When in Chicago, be sure to try the Polaris Lounge, if it is open when you are there. Here is a search function for your options in Chicago:

*A International business class will get you access to United Clubs, *A lounges, or Polaris Lounges in your international leg departure city, but no way you would get HA club access. Long-haul Continental flights (HNL-EWR) used to offer complimentary President's Club access, but since the merger, that was revoked. However, since you are on an international C connecting flight, I think you may be able to use the UA Club. Alternatively, you will be able to to use your Priority Pass access to the Plumeria Lounge if that is open at the time.

This is very much what I figured - i.e. no HA access at KOA, and Priority Pass access to the Plumeria Lounge in HNL. I was very surprised to see Loungebuddy's suggestions - it's usually fairly accurate otherwise.
Yes, fingers crossed Polaris in ORD is open; I've tried EWR, SFO etc (really don't like the tiny eating area in EWR), so very curious what ORD's is like. I've heard "December".. and I'll be the second week.. who knows.
Thanks for clarifying what I suspected to be true. I'll see if I can file a bug report with them.

The one time I used Polaris as an "arrival" lounge (HNL-EWR-13 hour stay--EU), had a very pleasant early morning shower/breakfast in the nearly-empty lounge. Quite a different experience later in the evening. So YMMV. Good luck.

You may want to check on the other priority pass lounge at HNL in the overseas terminal. The Plumeria Lounge at HNL is in the inter island terminal upstairs so could be a walk to get to your UA flight. The IASS lounge is in the garden level and is a little closer to the UA gates though if I remember right it doesn't have much to offer.

Last time I tried to use the IASS was 2017, it was walk in turn around and walk out. Not worth it even when free with Priority Pass. Not surprised it closed. As all my flying is inter island these days I just use the premier club in the inter island terminal which my HA Platinum gets me into free. I do have 2 passes to the Plumeria lounge so I should check it out one of these days.
