Entry requirements
Sister flying into Frankfurt on US and is only partially vaccinated, can she enter Frankfurt with negative covid test? She is very confused on entry requirements so thought I would ask the experts.‘ thanks

negative test result, proof of recovery or proof of vaccination (which requires both doses).
Those who haven’t been vaccinated, nor previously infected with COVID-19, will need to present negative Coronavirus test results, either PCR or antigen, taken within the 48 hours before arrival in Germany.

As far as I'm aware, this is NOT correct unless you also meet one of a number of conditions, such as being an German resident. US citizens, travelling from the US, will in most cases need to be fully vaccinated. Even if you are allowed in, in many cases not being vaccinated will require mandatory quarantining on arrival.

Glad I checked. My boy just turned 12. Had a COVID-infection earlier this year, but no official document as healthcare was busy. Now he could get his vaccine, but only his first. They don´t recommend getting a vaccine if under 18 until 4-6 months have passed from recovery. Basically there´s no way for him to get 2 doses for this summer travel. We are not going to Germany. However we already have tickets to AMS and DBV later in the year. In between, we´ll have to settle with Austria, Poland, UK or most other countries which all do not require vaccines. When are they going to realise things are complicated in Germany?

are only allowed to enter if they are fully vaccinated. This rules apply for person 12 or older. Children between 6 and 12 which are or can not be vaccinated need a negative test. Children under six need nothing. Here is the official FAQ https://www.bmi.bund.de/SharedDocs/f...irus-faqs.html
