I've been saying this the whole time, but some people don't use their common sense and potentially messing it up for everyone!!!

I honestly think it's people like you who are jeopardizing this entire benefit.

Total Rewards doesn't care about this free upgrade. If you have an issue then deal with FoundersCard directly. Let them go and talk to Total Rewards on your behalf. If we start creating more work for Total Rewards then I wouldn't be surprised to see them cancel this upgrade in the future. Why would they continue when a lot of people aren't even playing at a Diamond level, and on top of that are hounding them with issues like this?

Anyway, today I sent an email to FoundersCard as I have an upcoming trip to Las Vegas on Friday. Hoping to hear back sometime soon otherwise I'll be filing a complaint. I pay for these benefits, they advertise these benefits, and I expect them to deliver.

True. The way I understand it, CET has a price and if anything we should be trying to convince founderscard that's it's in their best interest to pay it or negotiate. Founderscard is the middleman and they have to keep CET happy AND keep members happy. I think founderscard is doomed without this benefit. My status went to platinum today, has anyone been re-upgraded yet?

For all you people bashing me. "Don't bother contacting Total Rewards or Founders", you are dead wrong. You buy a service for whats advertised. If Costco says join me and get a free car and Fred's car dealer. I join Costco and the people at Fred's car dealer are telling me there is no deal. Well guess what. Fred's car dealer should be telling Costco to take their company name off their advertisement. Both companies are on the hook. Why would you leave the Total Rewards offer on your site (REDEEM BENEFIT) if there is still no concrete deal. It should say PENDING unless they are milking the new potential members. The people at Total Rewards have acknowledged they do have a list of Founders Card members and they are not disclosing what they are doing with this list and apparently I was not on this list. Like many other people I have plans to go to Vegas as well. I would rather someone tell me YES or NO than sit in limbo.

Baccarat_King you have been pumping this card. How much is Founders Card paying you to pump this up.

And Founders has only advertised that Diamond was available till January 31, 2017. Only a few people signed up late and didn't get that. Those who lost status today were not promised/advertised anything else. It's really that simple.

joker7 Feb 1, 2017 1:01 pm

That's where I'm confused. Did everyone who redeemed the benefit get downgraded today(possibly temporary), or did some stay as diamonds?

First of all I never said "Don't bother contacting Total Rewards or Founders". All I said is people don't use their your common sense....

Ask yourself this. By calling/bugging TR, how does that help the situation? You are absolutely correct about both TR and FC being on the hook, but by complaining, it only creating more problem for TR. Do you think because you complained, TR will give you what you want? NO! complaining only create problems for them, big business don't like problems.

Also, don't blame FC for this. You should of done your homework before signing up. I've researched and read many forums, but I still renewed a 2yr FC membership in Oct, knowing that there's a chance that this benefit might not come back. Its pretty clear cut on FC page. If you don't understand that, it your fault.

Keep in mind that FC benefits is created for business networking. I'm sure FC sold TR on this benefit to bring businessmen/women to their casino and not just a group of people taking advantage of the TR benefits. People complaining just give TR another reason to not renew with FC.

Is there proof there's an actual "list" of FC member at the TR desk? Are you really going to believe that without any real proof?

I'm sorry that you think this is your world and everyone else is living in it! Step back and think about it.

Pretty sure its temporary. I had enough TC from last year for platinum, but currently shows gold. When its "official" it should go to diamond (at least I hope so) if not I would contact FC.

I was also wondering about that. I should be platinum from my TC from last year, but also show gold. I emailed TR about this issue itself and not worrying about the benefit upgrade until that's finalized.

Consider it dumb luck that CET reupped, regardless of the details. I take the interwebs as the minority of people, but just like store surveys, the folk at the corporations sometimes listen harder to the complainers than the happy or satisfied people. Same with people abusing the program. Either way, it was likely enough to stretch out the negotiation process. Patience is in order. I get people ready to take a trip, which is why I suggested booking rooms before yesterday. I feel for people who were not upgraded after signing up late last year, and hope they are in the "good standing" light. Otherwise, sit back and relax a bit. I'm sure the upgrades will come in due time.

Should Be In A Good Standing

I was told by FC that if negotiations go as planned that good standing will be current FC members who had or applied for the benefit prior to this year. I joined in November and applied for the benefit immediately but due to negotiations TR stopped new upgrades for the time being. If it's not true, I just see what other benefits work out for me. I have a trip to Vegas next weekend and in March so hoping we find out something by the end of the week.

Dumb luck is very appropriate! haha...

When I renewed a 2 yr membership with FC, it was gamble, but I felt good about it. After reading that people were complaining and how many people took advantage of it, I was certain it would go away. But again, these "complaints" were not confirmed true, so there was a sign of hope.

Z1456rh Feb 1, 2017 2:31 pm

I've had this benefit for a year and enjoyed it. But i bought in for 2 years. My complaint is you are holding up people's plans, appointments, schedules. Again when you place a REDEEM BENEFIT on your website and there is none You believe it's ok and not misleading. There is nothing to REDEEM. Should say waiting for final resolution. This is not my world but your world really sucks if you believe this is ok

Yes I believe there is a list. No reason for total rewards to make that up. They have nothing to gain by saying that. If FC said this, I would have my doubts. In this world the squeaky wheel gets the grease

joker7 Feb 1, 2017 2:33 pm

I would still like to know if anyone here avoided being downgraded. I signed up for FC(2 years) back in March. Redeemed diamond benefit in March, I'd call that good standing. However, I was downgraded to platinum(earned by play) today. Many people have mentioned they were downgraded, but no one has really said they were renewed.

I am sure there are 2 lists. New founders who just redeemed and old founders who should still have Diamond until their founders membership expires. I'll just wait and refresh this thread to see the latest updates.

However, I do think calling and complaining might actually help with TR to get around ro updating all the foundercard members. (if/when membership benefit has been confirmed to have been renewed)

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our partnership with CET.

We are still working on crafting an offer with Caesars for FoundersCard Members for 2017. Because we are trying to put together a unique and high value offering, it is a taking a little more time than originally expected. We will provide details in the coming weeks as to what you can expect for 2017 via email, and you can always view the Caesar's Entertainment benefit page for the most up to date information.

While we're working on this partnership, we have launched dozens of others since Jan 1, including:

• Expanded partnership with BMW that now offers up to $5,000 in savings
• Marriott Rewards Gold Elite status offer
• Q1 American Airlines offer
• Newly announced FC Signature Events in NYC, London, SF, LA, DC, Austin, and Toronto

• Launched our 2017 FC Hotel program with over 25 new properties worldwide with member rates, including Ritz-Carlton properties in Laguna Nigel and Half Moon Bay

• Hilton HHonors™ Gold Status Membership now valid through Mar 2018

It sounds to me, that everyone here is right; that Diamond status is ether going away completely or being reduced!
How sad, I really don't think I will renew without it.

This letter does not seem too optimistic, but more power to FoundersCard, if they can get Diamond renewal for 2017.

Deal's not 100% but they've officially informed current members that they expect them to be Diamond for 2017. That's optimistic enough for me. And yeah, more power to them.
