Many of his posts feature this AI drawing technique mirroring his post title....

LALF is also starting to experiment with those type of images

Just today smh. If this is travel thought leading content I am Batman:

With of course the obligatory shocking pics with lots of skin...

Sometimes you wish 'one of the foremost experts in the field of miles, points, and frequent business travel' would use other images:

It seems odd that VFTW is not touting the Alaska 70k offer, but OMAAT and Dan's Deals list it prominently.

Is this due solely to the lack of a financial benefit to VFTW? If so, I'm disappointed.

Not speaking for Gary but it’s a crappy offering now that partner awards are higher than American Airlines with far less availability and booking options
Did I mention a disappointing near 13 dollar partner award booking?
My two two cents

Just booked a CLE-NYC flight for 4.5K AS that would have been 14K AA and a JFK-LHR J class flight for 45K AS instead of 62K AA.
But do go on about how crappy AS miles are. :)

$13 in fees for a partner award is a whole lot better than many airlines :pffer.

After the gentle poke of OMAAT at VFTW's thoughtleadering advice:
https://onemileatatime.com/news/pill...tier-airlines/
I just realised VFTW's post are at a despair level,
VWTW as an engagement farming factory has the latest appalling piece of thought leadering advice :
Mastering The Hotel Lobby: Hacks For Non-Guests To Blend In, Use The Facilities Like A Boss
https://viewfromthewing.com/masterin...s-like-a-boss/

And afterwards to made sure that i didn't read this by mistake,
i had to recomfirm this post by reading the background at VWTW : about biography & accreditation.

All fears have been removed.
I fully place my trust in such insights.
I'll stop by at every Four Seasons hotel across the globe to help myself to their complimentary morning coffee + pastries station. Although I personally do not fit as in his words "the not standing out middle aged professional white male" yet, i could get away with my usual image of the excentric reeking with the smell of money.

Every hotel I've stayed at in NYC requires you to say you are checking in or show a keycard or convention nametag to get onto the elevator to the lobby. So you'd have to lie and say you are checking in (or, I suppose, meeting a guest), which takes this practice even further into the realm of fraud. I wonder what the setup at the Andaz 5th Avenue is like.

Andaz lobby @ 5th Ave has a small check in area with a few welcoming hosts and a living room setting behind it
other than newspapers and some bottled water coffee etc
I don’t remember to much else
I usually go up to the room straight away but I admit to enjoying seeing a physical newspaper as they are a dying breed these days.
And if I haven't read it that day always take one if still available
I would think typically the hotel is small and intimate enough so they generally know their in house guests

Right - Andaz freebies are right in the lobby @ Andaz Fifth.

So Gary's just further using his advantage as a white male to schnor free food and drink that he's not entitled to? Because he's not bringing in enough from his credit card machine already?

Sigh... it is weird that I can predict Thoughleader's article based on the topics:

* Angry customers/airline employees
* Nudity and/or bodily fluid is somehow involved
* Southwest seat blocking
* Some minor issues at AA (including the most recent faux outrage at FAA minimum staffing)
* Marriott related issues so he can use the Marriott Boca Raton photo over and over

The title of the blog should be renamed View from the Lawn, Shaking My Stick at the Sky.
