Probably not all, just some. ;)
Given what they pay, is anyone surprised that the blog follows the Party Line? Too much public dissent from the Party Line, and there goes what little job security there is in such organizations. |

I highly doubt Gary needs that salary.
It would require a suspension of disbelief to think that money and association has zero influence on the blog. Some things even disappeared from VFTW because of association. VFTW seems to remain in a narrow opinion corridor that won’t rock the Party Line boat too much. Which is sort of amusing in its own right, as the blog has had its very tabloidesque and Crossfire-on-steroids moments that ran up audience numbers. |
After Delta completely nukes the benefits of their AmEx cards yesterday, this pitiful tout is hawking the cards on a front page BA post this morning.

Here's the real fraud. After years of railing against Delta (he'll remind you who invented the term "SkyPesos") and predicting doom for Delta (remember when the conversion to a revenue-based program would cost them customers "at the margin," a concept he uses but doesn't seem to understand), a fact that he had to acknowledge in his posts this past week demonstrates how little Delta has needed to listen to him: 1% of the US GDP is charged on Amex Delta cards.
A fact that both demonstrates his lack of influence on Delta and his inability to make accurate predictions about the impact on moves within loyalty programs on the airline industry as a whole. |

The recent disgust about the 8$ water & 16$ M&M at NYC airports was strange... one would think that this is a libertarians wet dream?

I am inclined to assume that they know their numbers and find such copy to be working for their business purposes. It’s not like tabloids have had no market.
