Some bloggers got into setting up LLCs for their blogs as the $$$$ signs filled the eyes, courtesy of revenue coming in from bank card referrals and other advertising/marketing/affinity partnerships sending money their way.

As I recall, the PPP loan disclosures showed that most bloggers were operating as a sole proprietor or LLC.

ETA, I looked it up and Gary was a sole proprietor LLC when he took ~$21k in loan forgivness. https://projects.propublica.org/coro...eff-4961108309
Matthew was self-employed when he got ~$7k: https://projects.propublica.org/coro...fly-7594087310
DansDeals an LLC when he got ~$50k: https://projects.propublica.org/coro...llc-3573298607
Travel Codex LLC: https://projects.propublica.org/coro...llc-1098908710

Not sure why they wouldn't move to an S corp if they were making serious money for tax avoidance purposes.

So, Gary .....ing about the government every chance he can get and then taking in the dough from it, talk about hypocrisy hey?

And Dan gets the government to forgive more than what he got is clearly a DD kind of hacking smh...

Suze Orman says 'never leave money on the table!'

My wife and I took several bites at the PPP from our various companies. My software company also just got a tax credit/refund for not laying anyone off under the ERC. Free government money, baby!

I couldn't find any PPP for Ben. Maybe they did it through Ford - I don't know his last name. Maybe not not clever/aware enough to take free government money?

And Dan gets the government to forgive more than what he got is clearly a DD kind of hacking smh...
That's just because there was a longer gap between the loan and the forgiveness meaning more interest to forgive along with the principle.

He may get it back someday, even if he currently doesn’t expect that to happen. Just like before he got it.

But will he really miss it down the road, if he doesn’t get it back someday? I hope that’s like asking if I miss being EXP with AA? Not really.

The part I found interesting was "I am not traveling."

A points and miles blogger who does not travel? Perhaps he meant he is not traveling as much...

He may have had a break in his air travels of some sort for health-related reasons.

Someone who travels by air a couple of times every week most weeks of the year may think that not traveling by air for a month is the equivalent of “not traveling”. All while someone else may have a different idea of what constitutes “not traveling”.

Maybe at around the time of writing that “I am not traveling” thing a doctor or family had suggested or supported that he be grounded for a bit.

I bet there's more than one BA blogger that rarely travels. So many are nothing more than shameless credit card pimps now.

Jerry Springer has died, but the tabloid-like elements inspired by his life as a TV entertainer live on on VFTW.

Probably not all, just some. ;)

Given what they pay, is anyone surprised that the blog follows the Party Line? Too much public dissent from the Party Line, and there goes what little job security there is in such organizations.
