Templates, templates everywhere

If MMS were ever to dissolve as an ongoing concern, management may wish to consider this law firm's services. It published this template notice in last Friday's Boston Globe:

Big Travel. Small money.

I pray to GOD "big travel, little money" was copyrighted or something. When i'm really bored i'll go back and find my favorite Emily quotes. Funny stuff here already!

Perhaps they can buy a thesaurus with all of the affiliate income?

Food was described as "good" 12 times - in one review!

Even multiple times in one sentence:

- "Our food was good, but not as good as the pizza for lunch. "

- "The pizza was good, but not as good as the Hostaria dei Bastioni Restaurant."

- "the meats were also very good. My spaghetti was good, too."

"Delicious Aubergines – who Knew Eggplant was That Good!"

.... I had a feeling

We haven't even had a go with the pictures even. She is currently the world record holder for number of portraits taken inside of a Costco. I'm almost inspired to take a selfie with my washing machine.

I was almost afraid to scroll down to see the picture when I came to this caption in the Paris Day 5 Report:

Daraius: As I posted on the Million Mile Secrets Facebook wall, my Venus is much prettier!
Luckily it was just Emily...

We learn of Emily's take on the Louvre later in that report:

In addition to the beautiful artwork, the Louvre itself (being a former palace) is beautiful and warrants time exploring the history of this architectural gem.

+1

If someone has a way to be efficient in helping others what is wrong with it.
Those who laugh and snicker at MMS or other bloggers, can you provide even 10 %. Of info they provide for nothing ?
Yes they make a buck on referrals, so what ? It does not add to your expenses !
I read some blogs and at times do use their links.

Time to put our energies to better use.

I don't think the referrals is the sticking point here...

Again, I don't think anyone (or most) on the thread were suggesting there was anything "wrong". Just some humor, like with the law firm's template ad up-thread or United forgetting to fill in its customer response template.

No offense, but if you think these commercial P&M bloggers are doing it to "help others", you're being naive. It's a business - and there's nothing at all wrong with that. Just as with any other business, people will comment on their product/service.

Can any of us provide 10% of the information they do for free? Sure, lots of people can and do. I hear there's even an internet forum where such information resides and where members discuss and assist one another with all manner of miles, points and travel things. In fact as one example, the CC links available on said forum may often be better than the affiliate links pushed by certain bloggers.

Yes, undoubtedly.

But the bigger issue what is wrong with poking fun at some things like this? This thread has been hilarious.
