Now if BR just starts releasing award seats on this route... I can't find IAH-TPE at all, from today till the whole summer vs. 2 weeks out for other NA routes like YYZ-TPE is wide open

TPE-IAH has some random dates

I just tried UA IAH-TPE, and looks like there are seats in J only, no Y

June 20, 22, 25,27, 29. July 2 (so 2 weeks out release as well)

EDIT: Aeroplan.com matches UA's results. J-seats only, no Y-seat

@username - what program did you book? EVA IML miles? Aeroplan? UA miles?

I booked through IAH for the next 2 weeks and got seats both ways (C and Y).

In IAH now. Kitty arrived safely but parked at the last gate (D12) where no one can see her. Some airport employees who had access to the tarmac saw it. A TSA agent showed me some pictures. He said there was no ceremony at the tarmac.

On top of that, http://www.fly2houston.com/iah does not even show EVA Air on the list of carriers for arrival/departure status.

There are ads on the wall and display in the D terminal. EVA's sign is up on the same lounge as CA.

Whoever does the PR for BR and logistics for them at IAH should be fired. What a wasted opportunity.

I saw a flight the other day for mid-March, 2016. I had to select the IKK option, though, and while the YYZ-HOU was in J, the HOU-TPE segment was only available in Y.

Sorry I thought we were talking about J since normally the annoying one is J. I remember when I used to check IAH-TPE, EVA is always open like Air china is for Y. That's super strange!

IAH is pathetic! The a380s just use 2 gates instead of re-configuring the last gate (12) to handle the A380 alone.

I thought whoever was doing PR @ BR was doing a great job because word got around "china town/bellaire" houston area that this was launching.
Even my parents were like hey did you know BR was coming in. But for them to know something within 7 days of release, is quite impressive. So I think they did something at least..........
