Amsterdam - Transportation from Airport to Hotel
What is the best option for transportation from the airport to a hotel in Amsterdam? The hotel is near Dam Square. Biggest concern is ease of use with bags especially after an overnight TATL flight.

well the train from Schipol runs to Centraal Station is quick (15-20 mins) and cheap - around €5. Could then take a tram from there - depends on the actual location though as to the utility of that. There is also a taxi rank at Centraal.
Depends how many bags you have as to how 'easy' it is but there are lifts and escalators to/from the platforms at both Schipol and Centraal.

When I am coming into a city for the first time with bags after a TATL flight, I almost always opt for the taxi. Whatever the fare, it is usually worth the extra money to just walk outside the airport and be delivered to the doorstep of the hotel. Even in the cities where it is expensive or time consuming, it is usually worth it. You get to look around and see a bit of the city, maybe identifying places you want to go.

There's also this
https://www.schipholhotelshuttle.nl/information4
It's a shared van service, so depending on the locations of the various hotels of your fellow pax, you may get a bit of a tour on your way to your Central City hotel.
But it is easy and affordable, if a taxi is too dear.

The Schiphol Hotel Shuttle is an easy and comfortable airport shuttle service to and from the Schiphol Airport and your hotel.

You can also take the 397 bus if you are on the far side of Dam Square coming up Damrak. If you take the bus from Schiphol to Amsterdam Bus Station Elandsgracht, Dam Square is just a little further walk from the 397 bus stop than Centraal station. The bus takes 20 minutes longer than the train though.
