I will be flying soon on an A380 with Emirates for the 1st time from DXB to KUL.
I usually prefer to sit in the last row, to get more chance to get empty seats near me and to be able to recline without bothering the passenger behind.
Are row 79 and 88 "comfortable" enough? They are located at the back of the 2 last economy sections.
From the pictures that I've seen, there is no window? Is it possible to recline?
Thx for your help

Hello all,

Early next year I will fly MAD-DBX-BKK and then BKK-DBX-MAD (EK142, EK384, EK371 and EK141). I am a big guy, 1.95m, so I'm trying to get seats with good legroom in Y. I've read a lot of topics/posts here and in other sites and the good seats are already taken or not available in all of my flights*. And I know DBX-BKK is a really busy route so it is understandable...

So, having this in mind, will I be comfortable if I select a random middle of the cabin seat, like 70A?

* there are some seats available with good leg room near bassinets like 52B or 54D. However I read it here that it might be better to avoid those in case a baby/parents need them.

DXB*

All pretty much the same if you ask me. You might prefer an aisle to stretch your legs. You can ask about exit row at check in.

Help from a newbie re: seat selection.

Hi i'm new to this forum as a member but have viewed for a while.
I've booked next year to Fly BHX-DXB-SYD.
On selecting seats online, i've done some research but have seen conflicting answers. So was wondering what the people on this forum know on the matter.
BHX-DXB is a 2 class A380 and we're in economy but upper deck.
We've selected the four seats in row 32. There doesn't seem to be a row directly behind, maybe a bulk head. Would like to know if anyone has seen or sat in these to confirm. ie: full recline?
DXB-SYD we're sat downstairs row 51 which says bulkhead behind but have seen on other sites that there is a walkway directly behind these seats, so full recline.
Again if anyone could confirm and give their views on these seats, I would very much appreciate it.

Can't speak to those seats specifically but on the 777 bulkhead seats still have full recline.

I've sat in row 51 (51G) on the A380 last month and you can indeed recline as it's just a walkway immediately behind (as the door is used for boarding). You do get a bit light pollution and noise from the galley, but no toilets as the nearest toilets are in the front of the plane. This does mean you get some toilet traffic.

I was half expecting a lot of people to use the walkway to do exercises and stretches or to hang around but it was relatively peaceful comared to the rear galley of a 777 where crowds seem to build up.

I found it to be an incredibly cold seat in 51G due to the exits and I'm a cold fish, I hate a warm/hot cabin but even this was a bit too cool for me.

That said, I would probably chose this seat agian if I can't find decent seats elsewhere.

Can't comment on your other seat.

Upper deck A380 you will still get the full recline, such as it is on EK Y, even though you have bulkhead behind you, so no need to worry there.

A video that helped me pick seats on the 2 class

A while since I've been in J on the 777 as usually stick with the A380 but my next flight to Phuket in December is on EK022 and EK0396 which I think are both 3 class triple 7s.
I have seats 7A/B and 10A/B.
Are these OK seats as I've seen it mentioned somewhere that 7A has a misaligned window seat?
Thanks!

There's no window directly by you but there is one next to that. It's the best seat in j as it's in the private mini cabin with just 2 rows.

Most of the flight the window is shut anyway as films are on and the windows make it hard to watch.

I was in 7A once and actually found it quite annoying. I guess on day flights I'm a bit of a window watcher. Planning to be somewhere in the middle of the larger cabin on my next 777 flight. I've never been able to figure out when row 6 becomes available. After OLCI? Or at the airport? Is it even preferable to row 7?

I'd love to fly the 77X, lucky you!
