Dates and flight number will assist us. Is there an F cabin?

ft101 Aug 21, 2017 2:51 am

Are both sectors showing the same seat map?

It doesn't look like any layout I've seen on an EK 777 before as most have Rows 6 and 7 in a mini cabin, then a galley and toilets, then Rows 8 to 11 in another cabin.

However, IAH to DXB has been consistently getting flown by the aircraft with the new J seats recently (there only are about 8 of them). It looks like you'll be on one of these, which is good, but I've never read or heard about a new layout as you describe on these.

Yes there is a first class cabin.

That was the less important of the 3 things I asked :D they could occasionally have a 2-class or a 3-class with or without crew rest (not sure if it affects J Cabin layout).

Generally speaking though all 3-class as mentioned up-thread have the 2-row mini cabin rows 6-7 and then the main cabin where 8 is the bulkhead

Have you read/heard if the new seats have resulted in a new cabin layout too?

OP. It would be good if you could report back what you actually find on board. It may just be a programming error.

OP and I exchanged DMs as he reached the post limit for new members, but AFAIK the new seats have the same cabin layout. He sent a screenshot of the seat map and indeed it shows 3+3 (rows 6-8, then lav, then 9-11)

Just checked FR24, the outbound is about to depart and it is indeed the new J, A6-EPW

I got the screenshot too, and then noticed it had all been new planes recently which made me wonder if there was a change. I'm sure we would have heard already if that was the case though, hence the request for feedback.

Extra legroom seating

Hi,

I'm flying Eco EK58 DUS > DXB on September 27 and am curious about buying seats with extra legroom.
Now the seatmap on Emirates.com shows row 24 and 37 with the extra legroom at 85 Euro.

Is this an Exit-Row seat or is it bulkhead behind the wall? The later would be suboptimal.

Thanks for the help.

Is this a A380? Not familiar with that seatmap but in a 777 (rows 24 and 37 sound about right for it) it would be exit at A-C and H-K (window side sets of 3) and bulkhead in the center 4. I'd imagine an A380 to be similar but not sure.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's a 777-300ER.
Sounds good. Just dont want to pay 85 Euro and then end up with a wall infront.

If you like a window seat, Row 24 (above the wing) is better as you don't have the escape slide bulge in the door which you do at Row 37.
