Recommended: bulkhead: 15D/15E/15F and 16A/16B 16J/16K

To be avoided: The rows behind bulkhead because of large equipment box under the seats in front: 16 E,F (16 D,G are better, you can stretch the feets out a little, because there are only 3 seats in front) and 17 A,B,D,G,J,K.
To be avoided: Same bad seats in the second cabin: 24 E,F and 25 A,B,D,G,J,K.

Notes:
According to emirates.com the b772 aircrafts are currently being updated to provide greater comfort and a new 500 channel (ICE) entertainment system.

Sorry people I am very new too this so I am seeking some advice. We fly out of Akl to Dubai (Airbus A340-500 - Economy) and Dubai to Glasgo (Boeing 777-300ER - Economy). My question is what seat do you recommed for two 6ft 4 tall big people to sit in where there is leg room and side room? Again I apologise if I have asked in the wrong forum. Hope you can help.

Emirates A330-200 J class seats.

Emirates A330-200, 2 class. I presume J class refers to cattle class.
Am I the only person that finds the seats in this class in this aircraft uncomfortable? Not the amount of room that bothers me but the bum bit and backrest are not in sync so I keep sliding forward.Putting cushions under my thight helps a bit. Have been on a variety of seats so is not confined to only one. I find the seats on the 777-200ER far more comfortable as the whole seat tilts in unison.

Thank you for that.
I was trying to refer to Economy class.

A330 economy seats

hi, i am flying on EK722 dubai- nairobi on A330-200. what be the best seat in economy, i usually go for the aisle. At present i have selected 19 J.

Also on my flight back, am on 777-200 and have selected 38 B, which coincedentally someone on here said was a good seat! On the emirate seat map says"suitable for disabled" - does this mean there is any difference in the seat?

Personally I find window seats on 330 and 777 to be a bit cramped. Maybe not so much if you are short.

I don't see what the big deal with 38B is if you're traveling alone. I'd prefer to be on the center aisle seats upfront, as you get earlier meal and drinks service, and get off the plane faster. If you're silver, you can board early as well.

afaik, disabled seats have aisle armrests that can be moved.

is there any particular seat on A330 that is better? Discount window seat.

I've only been on a 330 once, and I had 25D.

armrests on A380/777-300ER?

Flying LHR-DXB on A380-800, DXB-NRT on 777-300ER on Y class.
Since we have two small children, I was thinking of getting the middle row of 3-4-3. Does anyone know if the armrests can lift on non-bulkhead seats?

If the armrests are static/rigid, we prefer to split 2 x 2 and get window-middle or middle-aisle combo. Any thoughts? TIA.

I don't know about the 380, but on the 777 the arm rests are moveable. Very good for sleeping when you get an empty flight.

Emirates has just received a new 77W A6-EGA; is this plane with C/Y only or has F/C/Y configuration?
Thanks

I am just about to redeem miles for LAX-DXB on the 777LR for a J seat. Are these the flat-bed seats? Do you think the experience will be much better than the Delta 777LR which does have the flat-bed seats that are very private for a solo traveler? From the website, it also looks like the car service is available for award tkt holders in business?

These are the lie flats. They aren't flat bed seats like the A380, but the newest J seat otherwise.

The overall experience would certainly be better on EK than on Delta, no doubt. Can't comment on sleeping comfort on each. The 772LR is a 2-3-2, so not as private as a herringbone seat.

Yes, the chauffeur drive is available for redemptions. Just be sure to book it well before your flight.

J Class MEL-DXB: B777-300ER or A340-500?

Good afternoon,

I am lining up for my very first trip on EK and have a choice of flying MEL-DXB on either the B777-300ER or A340-500. Trip will be in biz class.

The B777 flight stops in SIN but the A345 is direct, or via KL.

I have heard that the seats on the A345 are inferior to the B777ER, so it is worth taking the longer route via SIN?

Is the difference in product that significant? The direct flight is obviously a long one so seat comfort for sleeping is important.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Cheers,

tb

Yes, big difference in product. The seats on the 345 don't go flat, the ones on the 77W are lie flat. Definitely worth going via SIN - may be slightly longer, but more comfortable. The individual flights are long enough for you go get uninterrupted sleep for 6 hours, and then maybe shower at the SIN lounge and enjoy the rest of your flight.
