Hey, life goes on... whats 13 hours (JFK-DXB) in the larger scheme of things.

Ok, so when I got to the last row, hoping to settle in my limited-recline seat next to the lavs, I found that it was row 50 and not 48. My aisle seat was, in fact two rows ahead, with full recline! Lucky break eh!

Currently scheduled on EK558 DXB-MLE on 7/5/08 in J. My spouse and I are currently booked in row 10. I re-checked our seats online and the seat map now showed row 10 missing. In fact, only rows 7,8,9 & 11 are shown. Checking the services for the flights, it is listed as a 777-300 with rows 6-11 in J.
Does this hint at a potential aircraft swap? Or, is it a simple website error?

Emirates 777-300ER Economy Seats

Hey Guy, I need some help from the experts on this forum. I couldnt really find a specific answer to my question while scanning this thread ...

I just made reservation for the following:

EK204 JFK-DXB 47J 777-300ER
EK3703 DXB-MRU 47A 777-300ER
EK702 MRU-DXB 47A 777-300
EK201 DXB JFK 44A A380

I'm not sure how I can tell if the 777-300ER are 2 class or 3 class? I'm assuming that they are 3 class and according to seatguru, row 47 is good. Does anyone have any advice about those seats or can suggest what are the better seats in Economy? I'm just a little unsure about sitting all the way at the back of the plane.

SeatGuru also mentions the presence of an Entertainment box at that row for seat A and k. How big is it and is this really a problem?

Finally, row 47 is all the way at the back. Any ideas between choosing a front row economy seat rather than one all the way at the back? I'm thinking that being at the front of economy, its probably faster to get out at landing, and you probably get your food faster as well. Any body can comment on that?

Also how does the front of economy compare with the back with respect to the noise from the jet engines? Is the back better since you are not sitting next to them ?

777 J Class Seats

Does anyone know if row 11 (the last row) J-class seats on the 777-300 and 777-200 3-class aircraft recline fully or if they are restricted recline as I believe is the case with row 7 in the two-cabin configuration?

It's not as comfy as the seats on the 77W but it's OK. I managed to sleep for a bit during my flight. Don't know why they're not lie-flats, that's up to EK

Thanks for that Krazy Kat just thought all the 3 class 300's where refrub with lie flat seats , we normally fly Etihad on that route so hope emirates come upto their standards

Hi,
I cannot find a pic of the 777/300 but this is the "sleeperette" seat on the 777/300ER(better than the OLD 300 seats). We're on 385 on 30 Dec and hoping they put a refurb'd 300 on especially as we look like missing out on the A380 on EK001! Not flown EY so cannot compare but pics look good.

SteveF,
I put a similar question on here a few months ago and the concensus seemed to be that row 7 didn't have any recline problems so have bagged 7A,B on 2 of our 4 flts and 11J,K on another(last leg is supposed to be A380 lol.)
I actually moved where possible from row 11 as I was led to believe the close proximity of Y meant it could be noisy?

I do like the last row in J. For starters, I'm the first to get served so I can relax while those on the first row are still nibbling on their cheese platter. Then I can recline as far as I like without annoying anyone behind me. I've never had a problem with "noise from Y", maybe it's because I normally have the noise reduction headphones most times

I'm on EK 418 from SYD to AKL in F. Cany anyone recommend a seat on this flight?

jrfarrim Oct 14, 2008 7:44 am

Hi guys, just looking for some advice on the best economy seats on the A380. The flight is EK412 DXB-SYD. I'm 6"4 so leg room is top priority.

Thanks
J

418 is now a two row 2-2-2 configuration Row 1 AB EF JK
Row 2 AB EF JK

If you like to look out the window and you are traveling Alone 1a and 1k are my choice. That flight has great views departing SYD and arriving AKL. It is also a little easier getting out of your seat than row two, if someone is seated on the aisle.

If you are traveling with a mate I like row 2 a&B 2K&K.

If you are a "VAMPIRE" or are afraid to look out the window ( you like the shades down during the entire flight take any other seat.) The folks who take the window seats on most flight these days , put down the shades from boarding to departure.
