http://www.seatexpert.com/_EK_Boeing...R_3_class.html Looks like the only good J seats are in the first row (6B,D,F,J), excluding the window seats and middle seat. a) I have e-tickets which state seating to be arranged on checkin. Can this be reserved or checked prior if I phone the Sydney EK office? b) With my e-tickets (SQ stock) with first segment flown, can I just phoned EK to change the dates of my EK419 flight? c) I think it's been discussed to death already, but has EK not allowed upgrades with miles J->F this year, after an unannounced rule change?) |
77L and 77W
Now if any of you have been on EK's 77L flights before, could you give me an idea on the Economy Class product that they offer in that aircraft?
Break that down to Seat Comfort, Entertainment, Catering and Service? Do the seats themselves have a USB connector and/or AC Power for the Notebook computer? About the 77Ws that service JFK-DXB, what are the Economy Class seats like, are there any major differences such as the absence of Laptop Power? |
Can I have some advice
This will be our first trip on Emirates it will be in January 2009 so appreciate things can change
The flights are EK206 Glasgow-Dubai 777-300ER EK348 Dubai-Changi 777-300ER EK381 Hong Kong-Dubai A330-200 EK025 Dubai-Glasgow 777-300ER We will be flying business class on each leg Questions 1. On which legs if any will we have lie back (flat bed) seats and on which will we have part recline seats 2. EK348 seems to have a stop in Columbo for about an hour. Are we going to be expected to get off the plane or can we stay aboard if we wish to rest as BA lets us do Anything else we should be aware of Thanks A |
EK 348 in J also
Hi,
I will also be on EK348, but from CMB-SIN and in Sept 08. It appears from emirates.com that we should have the new ICE and seats, as it is showing a 6-row J cabin. I am currently in 1K; I am travelling alone. The Ultimate seat guide in this forum shows recommended seats for this 777-300ER as 2,3,4,5,6 but doesn't mention row 1 at all, either to recommend it or advise to avoid. Can anyone help with advice on this? Is there significantly reduced legroom at this bulkhead(?) TIA ! |

Row 6 is good, ive sat in row 7K and i found it fine except for when 6k is fully reclined and it makes it harder to get out. I'm in 7k for my next flight which is AKL-SYD (only short) and i highly recommend you get in the front carriage of business as then you dont have 300 economy passengers walking by.
What are your thoughts on row 1 please? I am 6'1" with longish legs. Will I be very constrained by the bulkhead? Thanks ... |
I am about 5'10 and i found no restrains at all. I also heard about the bulkhead being a problem but i wanted to sit in first half of the business coach and wanted a window seat, and this seat was fine.
Row 7 has the wall/gallery behind it which is why there are warnings, may not get the same recline as row 6. I found it fine for me, but i am smaller than you. Anything on the left or the right in row 6 should be fine :) |
Hi folks,
I've just read/scanned all of threads but can't find the answer to my question! I'm booked on 4 777-300ers (2 over-nighters) from Manchester to Brisbane and would like to know if the bulkhead seats recline as much as the non-bulkhead seats? I really don't sleep very well on planes (just cannot get comfortable :() so hoping (like everyone else!) that I can get a seat where I can stretch my legs but recline back as far as possible I can't tell from my e-ticket or itinerary what class Im in, nor how many classes there are, but I'm at the front of economy each time in the following seats: EK020 8K EK432 17A EK433 17A EK019 8K Im presuming the first and last flights have 2 classes and the middle 2 have 3 classes. Anyone able to advise? Thanks! |
EK432/433 has the new 777-300ER ULR aircraft, check the seatmap on emirates website as thats pretty accurate. Are you sure that rows 17 is the bulkhead?
http://www.emirates.com/nz/English/f...JY&from=195345 Shows row 16 as the bulkhead which im pretty sure is correct, last time i flew i was in row 18 and there was 2 rows ahead of me. |
777-300 Seat configs
Hi,
My wife and I will be flying to the Maldives in J class on EK558 and returning on EK559 next March. Both are 777-300s, but EK558 shows 5 rows (7-11) and EK559 6 rows (6-11). We are presently booked in 7A/7B on both flights and I wondered if anyone has any advice if these are good/bad. Do both configurations have the first two rows of J class separated from the remaining rows by the galleys/toilets or is that only the 6 row config? Cheers, Steve. |
Do window and aisle seats in the last row (48 A/B/J/K) on a 773 recline? Seatguru says they dont but that seems to be the only configuration where they dont.
Any help will be much appreciated. |

Hey Rebound, I just called Emirates and you're right. Its a bit confusing because on the map I was looking on (on the Manage Booking section, under Change Seat) it looked like row 17 was right at the front, but apparently there is a row 16 which is not shown for some reason. But anyway, I've been put on 47K now for the Dubai-Brisbane legs so hopefully Ill have the leg room which people have mentioned above. Thanks for highlighting this for me :) |
