Which rows of "window Seats" on the 777-300ER are missing a window?

Here are my upcoming flights on Emirates...by what I've read here I'm going to try for row 42 on the long haul ones on the 77W. The couple shorter hops I don't care about much. Anyone else done the YYZ-DXB route?

Hmmm. Looking at my in/out of Maldives it has the same flight#...

YYZ-DXB EK242 - 77W
DXB-CMB EK348 - 77W
CMB-MLE EK656 - 777-300

MLE-DXB EK656 - 777-300
DXB-YYZ EK241 - 77W

Right, because the flight goes

CMB-MLE-DXB
EK656

Cheers,

How can i prebook a seat? I can't change my seat at the Emirates site, and my travel agent already reserved seats for my where i don't want to sit. How can i activate seat request in Bookings Manager? I want to change my seat before the plane is fully booked.

For JFK-DXB, which Economy seat is better? the A 380 or the 773ER? I can choose to fly either at this time. Seatguru.com says the 777 has 2 extra inches of legroom. I am wondering?

i believe you can do it if you're a Skywards member.

Anyone know if seat 25K on the A380 is "really" affected by its proximity to the bar?

Also, is there an aisle seat (i.e. 26J) just behind it, or is 25K the very last seat in the upper deck?

Cheers in advance!

To answer my own question, it's not that noisy, particularly with the noise cancelling headphones, and yes, there is a seat behind it which sort of shields 25K. Great plane, flight and experience!

Is it true that the inside seats in J on the 380 have 9 fewer inches on pitch than the outside seats? And, if so, do the window seats have less pitch than the regular aisle seats? It is difficult to tell from photos.

The windows seats have *more* pitch than the aisle seats. The window and inside seats have the same pitch. The aisle seats have the reduced pitch so the inside & window seat occupants can get out :)

Go for a window seat if you have a choice. Because of the staggered layout, you won't even see the person in the aisle seat.

Hi All,

I will be flying in 773 and see that there is discrepancy between the seat assignment map on Emirates and SeatGuru.

I'm a little concerned as there seem to be rows missing windows - for now I have chosen 19HJK - is this OK (or would 18 be better as it is still available)?

Otherwise, 53ABC on the A380 to Sydney then coming back 18ABC and 19HJK both on 77W on the way back = anyhting to avoid there?

Thanks.

A380 Business between JFK DXB - seating q's?

Hello one and all...
Two of us will be flying on the A380 from JFK to DXB this Wednesday in business class. I've already learned from this site that the aisles have less pitch than the windows/interior.
I do have a few questions which I hope some of you can answer

1. The EK site mentions a "dual USB" port. What can one do with this?
2. What type of power outlet is in the seats? alrline type, car lighter type, US style plug? other?
3. Is there internet connectivity available on the aircraft?

Any other comments will be most welcome!!

Thank you. I will be traveling with someone so we probably will choose two inside seats next to one another (7E and 7F, at present).
