Emirates Seating Guide
A380
First:
777
First:
A380
First:
- Solo travelers: some say row 4 is loud from the galley behind, while row 1 may be a bit more cramped than other rows. Most suggest rows 2 or 3, seats A or K.
- Couple: E/F seats in rows 1-3 are all fairly similar.
- General: the mini cabin at the back has a more secluded feel, though some comment that there is noise from the bar beyond row 23.
- Solo travelers: most prefer seats A and K (solo seats on sides with windows).
- Couple: aim for seats E/F to be closer together.
- General comments: upgrade if at all possible!

777
First:
- Solo travelers: Row 1, especially 1a and 1k, is the worst because of galley and lavatory right in front. Noisy and high traffic. Not much difference between row 1 and 2 in terms of space on the 77w for k or a seats.
- Couple: there is not really any difference between row 1 and 2 for e and f seats except 1 is near the galley and 2 is near row 6 in j where there may be children
- General: There is limited direct aisle access as the configuration is 2-3-2. The rear J cabin will have Y pax move through on boarding.
- Solo travelers:
- Couple: 7 j and k are great if you don't mind the missing window. It's in the private mini cabin - a great choice unless you like window gazing. You also don't get y traffic passing through this cabin as you turn left on entry!
- General comments: Y on the 777 is for slim people.

Sydney --> Bangkok --> Dubai --> London
Hi,
I am travelling to London via Dubai from Sydney and would like to know if the 777 300ER from Sydney to London and then the 777 300 from Dubai to London are of the 'newer' fleet. I am flying first class and am interested to know if the fit out includes the Suites or the older seating style?
Any input gratefully appreciated before I book.
Thanks!

There are no lie-flat seats to KUL (been on many but always got the standard J seats) so looks like you will be getting bulkhead seats ^

I am on a 332 in F from MAA-DBX. What can I expect in terms of seats, service, food, AVOD, etc.? What is MAA lounge that EK uses? Also, in DXB can I use EK F lounge or do I use the BA F lounge (as connecting to BA)?

Ek 344/348
Just an update on the seating of EK 344 DXB-CGK-SIN, EK 348 DXB-CMB-SIN
old style and crappy business class seats. Not worth $2500 they charge on this sector from DXB to SIN. Service and ICE very good! but ICE available only on the 344 not on the 348.
Cheers

Hello All
Great thread, I'm flying to Mauritius in Septmeber (stopping in Dubai) and from what I can tell from the Emirates schedule online the type of plane will be a 777-300ER. Its going to be our Honey Moon so want to ensure we have a great flight and its our first time on Emirates.
We are flying Standard Class (could not afford the additional 2k each for first class!!), can anyone suggest what seats are good and which ones to definatley avoid??
Many many thanks!

seat questione for 777-200
I made my seat reservation for my DXB-PER flight in May some weeks ago. First it was a 777-300ER. Then it changed to a 340-500, now it changed to a 777-200!
I never was on a 777-200 before.
How is the bulkhead seat in economy 16F or 16G?
I had the bulkhead on the 340-500 from DXB to SYD last month and it was fine.
