Emirates Seating Guide
A380
First:
777
First:
A380
First:
- Solo travelers: some say row 4 is loud from the galley behind, while row 1 may be a bit more cramped than other rows. Most suggest rows 2 or 3, seats A or K.
- Couple: E/F seats in rows 1-3 are all fairly similar.
- General: the mini cabin at the back has a more secluded feel, though some comment that there is noise from the bar beyond row 23.
- Solo travelers: most prefer seats A and K (solo seats on sides with windows).
- Couple: aim for seats E/F to be closer together.
- General comments: upgrade if at all possible!

777
First:
- Solo travelers: Row 1, especially 1a and 1k, is the worst because of galley and lavatory right in front. Noisy and high traffic. Not much difference between row 1 and 2 in terms of space on the 77w for k or a seats.
- Couple: there is not really any difference between row 1 and 2 for e and f seats except 1 is near the galley and 2 is near row 6 in j where there may be children
- General: There is limited direct aisle access as the configuration is 2-3-2. The rear J cabin will have Y pax move through on boarding.
- Solo travelers:
- Couple: 7 j and k are great if you don't mind the missing window. It's in the private mini cabin - a great choice unless you like window gazing. You also don't get y traffic passing through this cabin as you turn left on entry!
- General comments: Y on the 777 is for slim people.

I have just had a few minutes spare in the office and was checking the different aircraft I will be flying on with Emirates only over the next 4 weeks and have found it quite astonishing in the difference in seat pitches etc. I suppose I had never really thought about it in terms of inches before, over and above cost etc.
I have to say, I have agreed on every post thus far about the J class product being a bit of a lottery, but think about the next series of flights I have, in both First and Business:
DXB-KHI J CLASS A330-200 60” pitch 18” length
DXB-BKK F CLASS A380 86’ pitch 23” length
BKK-HKG F CLASS 777-200 69’ pitch 20’ length
HKG-DXB F CLASS 330-200 72’ pitch 20’ length
DXB-BOM J CLASS A340-500 60” pitch 18” length
BOM-DXB J CLASS 777-300 46’ pitch 18’length
DXB-SFO J CLASS 777-200LR 78” pitch 20.5 length
SFO-LAX J CLASS 777-200 LR 78’ pitch 20.5 length
All figures are from Emirates Flight by Service, and from Seat Guru..
It certainly is a lottery – I will only have the same sized seat twice out of 8 flights!
Anyway, I must get back to work!!!!!!!
Amazing!

I just completed 2 long haul on the A380 in F . normally I like the last seats on the A345 3AK
well I chose seat 4A.
I know Im being picky!!
firstly too far from the front bar
its long walk to get dom.
second they have a tray stash right next to you and it clangs when they store the trays.
so stay away from 4A if you have a choice 3A or K would be a better choice.
the aircraft is superb!

If I reallly have to do some segments in Y ex london (LHR or LGW) of all the AC that Emirates fly what is the best seat width... I have a very picky partner.
We will be transiting to J flights for the longer OZ sectors so we are talking London DXB in both directions only
Help very greatfully received..

According to Seatguru - http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Emi...nformation.php -
seat width on all 777's is 17" in Y.
seat width on all 777's is 17" in Y.

I am going to be travelling in business on 777-200LR.
I was hoping to get a window seat as these seem to have more privacy but the only ones left are 8 (bulkhead) and 11 (in front of economy). Have either of these got problems?
I am currently in 10F - does anyone know what this seat is like?
Thanks

MAN-DXB-SEZ
This is my first time here, please help. We are travelling (2 of us) MAN-SEZ via DXB in economy, on flights EK20/EK707/EK706/EK19.
I always used seatguru to choose the seats, but this time the seating plan on the emirates website (choose the seat) and seatguru website is not exactly the same for one of the flights!
Emirates website gives the following:
EK20 - Boeing 777-300ER, 2-class, economy starts row 7! (How are seats 23E & 23F?)
EK707 & EK706 - Airbus A330-200 (same as on seatguru, chose seats 35J & 35K for both flights?)
EK19 - Boeing 777-300ER, 2 class, economy starts row 8. (Which seats to choose? Wouldn't mind window, as it is a day flight - although, how much can you see?! The 2 seat rows at the back are all taken. Currently have 12J & 12K assigned)
Can someone please help with seat selection? It is our first flight with Emirates, so have no idea what to expect!

Row 6
Hello travellers,
We are travelling soon from Glasgow to Manila on 777-300 ER 2 class. We are seated on seats 6A & 6B and wonder if any fellow travellers have been seated there?
Some people avoid these seats due to their close proximity to the galley, lockers and curtain.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Regards,
Dunli

You will get served first, i alqays go towards the end of the cabin in J anyway, so they are goos seats as far as I am concerned. I think ob both sectors you will have the old style of seats!

A380
Hi,
I am travelling on the A380 (first time) to BKK on the 9th September in Y, I have managed to get 68A which looks like a good seat.
Also available on the seat plan are bulkhead seats 43H and 52C, I normally always go for the bulkhead seats for a quick exit when arriving in BKK. This time there is no hurry as I have to overnight in BKK before continuing my journey next morning.
Should I stay put or change for the bulkhead, no problem with screaming kids for myself, in fact I was a kid once myself.

Best Regards
Flying Fireman

Thats not a good seat... its the best seat in Y!! when you take off.. get your carry on bag place it in front of you.. and rest your legs on it.. feels like J class
there is no seat in front of you.. so you can enter and leave your seat without climbing over any one. Just make sure you put your carry on bag if possible.. so the passengers in front of you don't start putting their stuff there..

[QUOTE=Flying Fireman;12069369]Hi,
I am travelling on the A380 (first time) to BKK on the 9th September in Y, I have managed to get 68A which looks like a good seat.
I had a minor panic attack when I read that the flying fireman was in 68A on the A380 on 9 September. I looked up my reservation and sure enough I have seat 68A on the A380 on 9 September. How could that be? Only when I realised that I am on the BHX-DXB sector did my sphincter settle down.
We'll have to compare notes after the event as my wife and I are taking the A380 from DXB to BKK at the end of September but we are booked in F as it's a special occasion.
Happy landings.

A380 in F - which are the quiet seats ?
Hi - I normally fly on a 777-300ER . In first, on the A380 where is NOT noisy, where is good ? I am bit confused with the 380 / 340. I keep reading about bars and came across someone writing about Beyonce at the bar ... but I would like peace/quiet. In 777-300ER I sit in 2A/2K.
Thank you .
Thank you .
