Nice, do you need a paid subscription to do that?

Finally tried the gamechanger on Sunday and absolutely loved it.

Having said that, there were tons of crumbs in and around the seat and fingerprints all over the mirrors and windows.
My door also wouldn't close so I had to have my bed made in an empty seat.

In my limited experience of EK it seems that cleaning out of DXB is considerably worse than at outstations...

Cleaning out of DXB is actually more extensive than outstations (albeit barely). It could, however, be that the seats on the new 77Ws are just more exposed to stains / easier to get dirty... End, at the end of the day, I think it's more a matter of looking clean than being clean. Was on A380 last week where the curtain that a small boy was using to play hide and seek with his mom had not been drycleaned for EIGHT years.

The seats themselves were ok in both cases.
It was more the fact that crumbs, grains of rice etc were all over the floor, tray table and storage compartments in both the ex-DXB sectors that surprised me.

The air filter in the shower of the old A380 I was on definitely hadn't been cleaned since delivery of the plane.

Need some help here, please.

Would perhaps like to fly from either FRA or MUC via DXB to HND on February 29th and back on March 12th or 13th.

Was hoping for the new Game Changer Suites in the 777 on those routes. So I contacted Emirates via facebook messenger to ask them if the new F is used on those routes.

Their answer was, that the new 777 with the new suites is only used on the FRA/DXB route and not on the MUC/DXB and HND/DXB routes.

Is that true? Or can anyone confirm the opposite? When looking at the wiki, all routes should have the new F...
Any way to find out what planes are used? Seatguru does not help as the seat maps all have the old layout.

The free subscription to ExpertFlyer allows you to see the seat maps.

A quick look suggests that you’ll be able to get new F on FRA/DXB/NRT on 29/2 (the layover in DXB is long, but the F lounge makes that bearable). On the way back, DXB/FRA seems to be flown with 388’s only on those dates, so no new F. HND/DXB is new F on both dates you mention.

MUC. is either ‘old’ F on 77W or 388.

EK53 is in the wiki as having the new F, but I don’t see it having the new F.

Also some routes that look like it’s getting it consistently (intentionally or not) are DXB-RUH-DXB and DXB-SEZ-DXB.

The issue here is, that no route is 'guaranteed' to have a certain configuration. It would appear that BRU and GVA, the 'original' new F routes still get them consistently. So does STN. But MUC (EK53) has not had one in a month. FRA has had some, SEZ a few and so has RUH (neither of those 'consistently'). HND has had either new F or 2 class frames.

My suggestion is to use the trackers on The EK Source ? Emirates News and Information to see the historic allocations. That is by no means a guarantee that it is what you will get, but it will give you a certain idea. Interesting observation: No African destination seems to ever have had a new F frame. (I would love to be proven wrong, by the way).

From my own passenger experience (business sometimes but mainly economy) Emirates deploys their worst 777s to Africa. I refuse upgrade offers on any EK 777 flight from Africa because it's the bad/old angled business class hard product.

Most 777 are angle lie flat. I have been on many newer 777's just not the full lie flat to/from NBO.

Ok well I am just referring to the old business class on the 777. Really? I'm surprised to hear that. It is specifically the NBO route that I find the worst EK 777s.

Only about 30 airframes out of the 134 77W have the new business class. I have flown to NBO with A6-EPx and A6-ENx registered aircraft.

Is there a full list somewhere of which EK 777s have new business class?

It's basically from A6-EPV onwards. There was a wiki in the fleet thread but dont think its there anymore.

Ok so why on earth is EK53 in the wiki?
