Emirates has unveiled the new first class cabin for their 777s at the Dubai Air Show on November 12th, 2017.

Notably, the new F cabin is fully enclosed from floor to ceiling, has a reduction from 8 seats to 6 total, had virtual windows for the center cabins and features video-based room service ordering.

Business and Economy cabins have also been refreshed, but not completely overhauled.

Any recent experiences on EK312/313 DXB-HND?

Still served by the new 777s?

No personal experience but looking at flight history, it is always operated with new F if there if an F cabin. There are some 2 class flights peppered in with the mostly 3 class flights.

Not everyday. Somedays served by B777-200LR.

Tried and tested the EK rewards website today, 16 Sept 2019. Yes, the award seats for the new Fully Enclosed First Class Suite on B777-300ER are released only 2 days before departure, at about 3pm GMT+8, Hong Kong, Beijing, Singapore time.

Sorry folks, i have tried searching but to no avail...anyone tell me if the CPT/DXB route on 777 will have the new F? If not does the current F have much privacy/suites? Thanks in advance.

Old F. All EK aircraft have F suites with doors, just that the newer ones are fully enclosed up to the ceiling while the older ones are shoulder height.

OK, almost always.
2 weeks ago, A6-EPB on that route. CPT almost had the fire engines out or the welcome salute.
I'm sure that was a mistake and someone in DXB got fired over it (or worse).

Sorry if I am missing something. Are all the 777-300ERs retrofitted? If I fly to Seattle on the 777-300, will I likely have the new seat?

Expert flyer is showing 8 seats for the flight, with two “blocked”. Not sure that means anything.

No, only 10 aircraft have the new F class.

New F has 6 seats, so if your flight is showing 8 seats then I'm afraid it won't be new F.

There is a very short list of routes which are regularly scheduled on new F, I think it's basically the below (I could be missing one or two, so please feel free to correct me if wrong):

- STN
- GVA
- FRA
- BRU
- HAM
- VIE
- HND
- MLE
- RUH
- KWI

There was a period previously before all of the above were scheduled where the frames moved around a bit, but EK seem to have worked out what to do to improve utilisation now so they only very occasionally pop up not on the above routes. In North America, Houston seems to get one every now and then (presumably the flight time works to maximise utilisation?) but I haven't seen it deployed to SEA.

DFW also got it a few times this summer, but I haven't heard reports of any other US destinations receiving it other than IAH/DFW and maybe ORD a couple of times?
