Suddenly I’m even more angry about flying BA rather than EK to HKG today :p

Is there a way to preview wines by route without booking? Being a big wine guy a nugget of a bottle (e.g. the Opus '13 on IAD I enjoyed a few weeks ago) could be enough to sway my port of entry into the US given I have to connect regardless.
Edit: found it - knew I had seen it at some point somewhere! |

2004 P2 was on 226 last Friday. Though not on the ground . 2013 Opus was also offered in air. Neither offered on 396 3 days later.

It is not just P2 that EK is indulging us with. Just spotted this on my EK5 in a couple of days…

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...e42451920.jpeg I suppose that EK knows people only have so much liver, so might as well bring out the good stuff all at once 😛. Only missing the Yquem now! |
Actually, looks like it’s on SFO-DXB too, alongside Opus One and P2! Flying that soon, and going on an alcohol fast until then…

I’ll guess it’s Mouton on Europe routes, and Opus One 2013 on US.

Also on my January ORD-DXB Gamechanger flight with P2. :)

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1a9e1cb805.png 2013 opus is one of the best - a never ending finish, get it decanted early on and drink the p2 and mouton whilst you wait! 03 mouton will open up after an hour |

Cant wait to try the Mouton. |
Wonder if the Opus and Mouton will make their way to the DXB F lounges too.. Usually I see some of the bottles from the in-flight lists.
A few days after EK226, I’m flying EK763 which doesn’t have any of these superstars. Wouldn’t mind doing my drinking beforehand in the lounge though… |
