I was at Heathrow a short while ago checking in for EK6, when the lady at the counter next to mine was asking the passenger if he preferred to fly on the earlier flight (EK4) back to Dubai as it was not as full as EK6. He agreed and she printed out a boarding pass for him for EK4, and as far as I could tell there was no charge.
Regarding changes to Emirates, I'd like to see PJs being offered to business class passengers on medium/long-haul night flights like Qantas does.

I get that on some routes service by tray is necessary in F and J (DXB-MCT and DXB-DOH are two routes I have flown recently where this was done), but otherwise I too would like it removed. I wonder what the cut off should be, that is, flights over X hrs would have true table service.

Here's my top-choice:
- Relocate ear plug port in J on A380 closer to seat controls (maybe that's already been done on the newer aircraft)
- A380 J on B777 - would be fantastic, but I don't see it happening any time as it would take J down from 42 to 24 and that won't work on many of the heavy traffic routes of the Triple Seven (e.g. SIN). But something should be done on J on the B777 - eliminating the center seat could be a start.
- Better organization of cleaning and maintenance works in the lounge. Personally I think you can't close down the showers in J lounge simultaneously for like 45-60mins during lunch time when there are so many incoming flights and PAX wanting to refresh before connecting to the next flight in the afternoon. Happened to me last time in the new concourse. Any similar experiences here?
- Meal service in Y starting from the rear of the jet - maybe like this: ex-DXB start at the front, to-DXB start at the rear
- ICE Digital Widescreen on all B777
- Revert back to upgrade awards being possible from the time of booking subject to availability
- Customer service replying to email messages (however phone is fairly good)

Having said that, I find 6K with 6J blocked extremely private and comfortable to sleep in.

How did you arrive at the number 24? The 380 seats aren't so much more spacious than the 777 seats that they occupy double the space. They are in fact very narrow - and I think EK needs to re-look how to maximize space with that sort of layout and only then roll it across the entire fleet.

Lounge showers in both the J and F lounge are terrible ........
As to the showers on the A380, I find them gimmicky - I'd rather have a bigger bed (or something to that effect) ........ Love the bar area, though....
Food menus are very average on EK both F and J. Was on Swiss F a couple of years ago - was Superb!!!! CX - J had awesome food when I flew them last month.
Need to extend their lounges to several airports quickly.
Sub-titles (in Arabic) on the IFE only if the Passenger wants it. I think they need something in the controls to say, sub-title "off" ....... it's annoying to stare at that taking up half the screen.
P.S: Take away the mini-bar - never had any use for it. Or in F - why not a gourmet gift hamper if anything? Who wants Mars and Kit-kat????

The food, good god, please change the food.
EK383 yesterday in J, selected the 'lamb rack' what arrived were two burnt lamb chops swimming in their fat+some sort of jus, a massive plop of vegetable ragu, and mashed something which tasted like glue. Orange-Chocolate mouse tasted of neither orange, nor mouse! How is it that CX can do a perfectly cooked medium rare tenderloin on the same run in the same class??
Anyone else have issues with scrolling movies/shows on the touchscreen controller? Had same problems in both F and J... just doesnt seem very 'touch' responsive.

Last year I had the lamb rack and it was exquisite. I think it is still the only time I have remembered a meal as the high point of a flight.
