I believe you have the option at LeMeridien only - we also had food at their Chinese restaurant. I was not informed about any other options available at the JW Marriott, just the buffet.

Has anyone who has used the Dubai Connect service been able to get an in-terminal hotel? When I spoke to a phone rep, she told me to go the DC desk and tell them what we want, but everything else I've read indicates that they pick the hotel for you. (We are flying F and J, if that matters)

You won't get the in terminal hotel. It's normally the Le Mridien or JW Marriott.

Does emirates at all use the hotel in the terminal?

I am eligible to DC hotel, but my connection is relatively short, 7.5 hours, I am considering whether to go to a hotel for 4 hours net

I am exactly in the same situation. I feel my time is better utilized in the FC lounge so that is where I shall be.

Flying F. Arriving 1925 and departing 1015 next day. What meals would I get at the hotel?

There is presently no wording on the Dubai Connect page that says the service is for revenue tickets only.
I have an upcoming Skywards ticket with a long layover (still under 24 hours) where I would have been able to take an earlier flight truncating my time in Dubai to only 4 hours.
I managed to fill in the form and they have "saved" my info. Now lets see what happens next when I head to the airport in a couple of weeks for the vouchers

I do not recall Dubai connect being limited to revenue tickets only, unless the terms have changed recently. I recall using it on an award booking in 2022.

Earlier this year, as soon as I bought my rewards ticket and got the confirmation email, I had called to book the complimentary hotel.

Make your booking. Go to the Manage My Booking page.
Scroll down. You should see the Dubai Connect link here under a section called "Special Complimentary Benefits."

At least, I can see it on my page...

I am also trying to book Dubai Connect. My layover is 25 hours and 10 minutes, which is under the 26 hour layover limit. It is a F award booking. Oddly, I do not see a section "Special Complimentary Benefits" when going to Manage My Booking, just all the marketing boxes to buy add-ons like insurance, Dubai Experience, Hotels, Car Hire, and Tours. Does Special Complimentary Benefits show up right after "Your Itinerary"?

Is that the quickest connection for your itinerary? Although there have been some mentions of 'not shortest' connections being offered Dubai Connect (and it has once happened to me), these are anomalies in terms of the rules and you should not 'expect' them.
