There is still another white 777-200 parked outside the EK hangars at DXB. So must be a further 777-200 to leave the fleet.

Another A345 has been stored; A6-ERA.

Nope, not on the 300s.
I'll be rather disappointed if they're sleeperettes. |

Not even on the ERs? I'm planning CTP to LGW via DXB, and it shows as a 777-300 ER which the emirates website describes as having "deeply reclining" seats, and seatguru describes as "angled lie flat".
I'll be rather disappointed if they're sleeperettes. Deepy reclining in J were found on various B777, but all -300 models now offer the angled lie flat seats. I think there's only one or two 2 class -200s still with deeply reclining seats. |
How many 777's have the new business class (that is similar to or identical to the A380)? I saw one on Ultimate Airport Dubai and had no idea that some were even outfitted.

Apologies if already discussed : do all 77W's have Suites in F ? EK page still shows a 12F config for some of those planes.
Thanks & regards, El Puerco Volante |

Thanks for confirming, I like 77W Suites for the high walls and equally dislike the 12F seats :) Regards, El Puerco Volante |

OK, so it's enough to choose a 77W with F and Suites are guaranteed.

Aircraft Code 38R in Expertflyer
My Emirates flight from Dubai to Hong King in F in February is showing as Aircraft type 38R.
As the Fleet guide only details 38L or 38M is 38R just a mistake on Expertflyer or some newer version of the A380? |

Maybe someone can explain what's the new config code for. |

Expertflyer just passes on whatever EK places, so if there's a mistake it's EK's. I have confirmed the presence of the 38R code in GDSs; for example, it's the seat map for EK382 on 15FEB DXB-HKG.
Maybe someone can explain what's the new config code for. On the date mentioned, the seat map for EK382 shows these seats, whereas the seat map for EK380 does not. I suspect the new codes (there should be one for both LH and ULH) differentiate between these. |
Actually EK have 4 diferent A380 cabin layout:
ULH Fleet: F14 C76 Y399 and F14 C76 Y401 LH Fleet: F14 C76 Y427 and F14 C76 Y429 Soon they will have one more cabin layout when they get the A380 with C + Y only. |

A slightly off-topic post, the ICE/IFE touchscreen was malfunctioning on A6-ENF on a recent flight. Business class cabin, seats 2J and 2K.

I did notify EK, no reply yet. Seeing as RichL also had this problem, it seems like they don't care. :(
P.S: I did ask them to reset it, it fixed the problem for barely 5 minutes but as soon as the crew member left, the problem started again. That's actually disappointing. I'm sure other people must have complained as well, but they still haven't fixed it. They didn't even reply to my email. |

I didn't really mind though. I was flying EK-612 which is barely a 3 hour flight so it didn't bother me much.
Besides, I get thrown a lot of things, mainly little EK gifts (backpacks, EK coffee mugs etc) from the District Sales Manager in Pakistan. |
seat configuration list for a380
According to the Emirates timetable there are 5 different seat configs for the A380s.
Is there a list by aircraft registration which aircraft has which config.? According to the timetable Seat config 3 & seat config 4 are both F14J76Y427 and have F 1-4 seats nos; J 6-26 seat nos and Y 41-88 so cannot see the difference? |

The 4 configs I'm aware of are 2 each of Long Range and Ultra Long Range, as outlined in post #1 of this thread. Rows 41 and 42 and the centre section of 85 to 88 are missing from the Ultra Long Range version. The other difference is that on the newer planes (A6-EEU on I think), Economy Class has 2 extra seats at Row 80 A and K. |
I hope, this can help you:

In the printed timetable pages 290 *( config 3) & 291 *(Config 4) both configs are three class, both have Y427 and both have Y starting at row 41 with no seats at 80A & 80K.
Config 1 has Y399 Config 2 has Y401 Config 3 has Y427 Config 4 has Y427 Config 5 has Y429 |
A380 maintenance
According to EK source, a couple of A380s are going back into maintenance (e.g. EDA, very soon after its 3C check; it's back and now EDC is in) in Abu Dhabi. Anyone knows what's going on - is this for the doors?

That`s correct; they have some kind of troubles with the doors; I can`t explain exactly what the issue is.
Maintenance work is done in AUH and BOD. So far EDA and EDB habe already fixed it, EDC is currently in AUH and another one, I don`t know the registration is in BOD |
It seems that the A340/500 A6-ERE isn`t flying anymore.
So; there`s only 2 A345 remaining in the fleet; A6-ERB and A6-ERJ. |

I was wondering if anyone has up to date information on what Emirates aircrafts have what ICE (i.e. ICE Digital Wide Screen or ICE Digital).
I think every A380 and B777-300ER have ICE Digital. Thanks in advance! |

Hi all,
Do EK have any 3-class 77Ws that DO NOT have suites in F ? Thanks |
All 777/300ER 3-class frames have suites in F.
|
A6-EKW has left the fleet. It is currently parked outside the EK Hangars at DXB in allover white.
