eightblack and I have been working hard behind the scences for the last couple of months to try and refurbish and update the forum. We have been in touch with Emirates to try and obtain detailed and up to date fleet information, images and route mapping etc.

This data seems out of date as a number of the A330/340 aircraft listed have left the fleet. Also, quite a bit of 777 cabin updates have taken place lately.

All A330 are going to be retired or some of them will be updated with new Y, J, F?
(like B777-200ER which are older and were refreshed?)

I think the plan is to retire the 33/4's but hey can't do this until some more 777's arrive.

that's obvious with A340...but what about A330? B777 is much larger. Are they waiting also for some B777-200/B777-200ER ? Probably A330 is to by replaced by A350? but it will still take some time.

I just went on A6-EGH, and it did not have the upgraded HD ICE Digital Widescreen with huge screens, it just had the normal ICE Digital Widescreen. I don't think A6-EGI has it either.

According to the above list, all 3-class 777-300ER are equipped with suites. The only difference for the passenger is the ICE version. However, there is this page on the Emirates website which shows 777-300ER configured with 12 flat beds in F and Sleeperettes in J. Out of date page?

Edit: I chatted with Emirates. The agent didn't really give a proper answer, she just repeated what it said on the website. She said I could check for each flight on the "Services by Flight" page. I asked for aircraft registration numbers for the ones without suites, but she couldn't give any. I think it's just the website that's old.

when are the a340-300 ,that are still being used, leaving the fleet? I booked a ticket in J for February from Phuket to Dubai, and in the EK site it says it will be in an "a340-300 PASSENGER" (not sure what that last word means there). Anyone knows if there's any chance of them changing it? Thanks!
