Qantas CEO Alan Joyce says two 787-9s carry the same number of passengers as an A380, but two 787 flights are “a bit cheaper” than one A380.

I assume two B77X flights will be cheaper than two B787 flights?

Per paxkm maybe, not overall but 77X will have higher pax capacity. Current 77W carries almost 400 pax

Boeing says EK will recieve the first 777X.
EK will also present the new F class at the DAS.

Marty Bentrott states that "we stood at the podium and Emirates was the key fundamental launch customer and at the same time we announced other customers as part of the launch group".
On the Boeing website however, it STILL currently states that LH is the launch customer for the 777X? I've put in a link below to the page:
http://www.boeing.com/commercial/cus...eing-777x.page
Furthermore, why would Boeing say they never declared LH as the launch customer, when their website says otherwise?

Dont take UAE news sources to heart when it comes to the wording/fact checking, their is a lot of sensationalism, and ego chest pounding going around.
Basically the Boeing news release states "Lufthansa will once again be a launch customer for a new Boeing aircraft program."
Basically they will be a launch customer, but not the only launch customer.
Remember both United, and BA were launch customers for the 777 classic.

7,215,182 passengers in September, an increase of 1.7%
66,568,550 passengers year to date, a growth of 5.8%
http://www.dubaiairports.ae/corporat...m-in-september
Should be close to 88 million by year end.

Emirates and flydubai could operate from single terminal at Dubai Airport.
Flydubai moving to terminal 1 also under consideration.

The way EY is going and if EK and FZ merge first it'll be EK acquiring EY rather than a merger. EK ist already significantly larger and much more sophisticated in terms of corporate structure, overall infrastructure and human resources, as is evidenced by the consistent and larger worldwide network and much larger fleet. As it is it's a bit of an unfair comparison grouping the ME3 together. They compete on service and soft and hard product but in terms of sheer size, in terms of revenue, pax numbers and fleet, EK knocks the others out of the water

In celebration of the biggest Dubai Airshow to date, Dubai Airports has surpassed expectations once again with the announcement of one of the most impressive Gala Dinner special guest artists ever, Ms. Jennifer Lopez.

With the DAS starting in less than two weeks do any have predictions of what might happen regarding aircraft orders, airport announcements, routing, interiors, etc, etc?
