Whether a sticky or not there are plenty of people asking about lounges. I don't agree Emirates provide a lot of info. Though I agree its owned and operated ones are usually a high standard, the partner lounges can vary a lot. For example, I went to the J lounge in San Francisco and I'd have felt scammed to have paid $25 on Priority Pass for it, let alone it be good enough for business customers.

maeharasmuse, you really should have read the please help this forum sticky before asking for all the others to be deleted. It was explained quite clearly why they were to be created.

I'm a skywards silver, never really went to the T1 lounge, is it any good, far or close to T3?

Is it any better than Marhaba lounge in T3?

The silver lounge is about 15 minutes walk from the EK Lounges in T3, it is close to gate 123 if I recall.

Someone else will have to answer that, but don't you have to pay to go in the Marhaba Lounge? I've only been in the Business lounge in T3.

I've only been in the business class lounge in T3, but I'd assume it would be similar to the one in T1. The T3 lounge is fine, if a little impersonal, and very large. From my experience, all Emirates lounges are very similar, though they may vary in size.

I have visited the Marhaba Lounge and didn't think it was worth the entry fee. The main bonus for me relating to lounge access is the availability of showers, and the Marhaba Lounge doesn't have showers. IIRC the selection of food there wasn't great either.

Unless you have one of the major credit cards. That's why I'm asking, is the trip to T1 worth it?

I use the T1 lounge where I can even though I am Gold and luckily am also invariably in Biz or First. The lounge is an older style to the usual EK lounges elsewhere but it is always very quiet, has a great smoking area upstairs and I only do not use it if my flight is departing from the end of T3 that is furthest from T1. I have never needed to try the Marhaba lounge so I cannot help there.

Lounge Access for Golds ..

I fly only Y and am Gold.. I usually go into the T3 Business lounge ..Now I have been had to transit dxb multiple times recently and I find the food the same in T3 Business lounge since ofcourse they will not be changing it everyday .. I am usually there for around 2-3 hrs and I dont need a shower.. So my questions are :

1. Which are the lounges available in T1 / T3 for Golds in Y ?
2. Which is the best lounge food option wise ?
3. From the below I understand that the Marhaba lounge is a paid lounge unless we have some preferred Credit cards ? Is this rule applicable for all and if yes, do they accept elite mastercard's / visa CC's issued by banks in India ?

Seek advise..
thanks
Abhi

My friend was able to access it with a Mastercard issued by an Indian bank. I believe it was a "Titanium" Mastercard. Not sure which bank though, but I know it was issued in India.

1. T1 - Emirates Lounge near gat 122. T3 - Business class lounge.
2. Seems like a greater choice at T3 lounge: for instance fish goujons and big french fries as well as Salmon bagels there but not in T1. On the other hand I can only find the mini Chicken Tikka rolls in the T1 lounge which I like - perhaps I have not searched hard enough at T3 lounge because I stick to the smoking area. Personal preference comes into it of course.
3. Never needed to try to get into a non-airline lounge so cannot help.
