I hope you'll be able to answer my questions, thanks!
EK358/359 will operate using B777-300ERs with deep reclining seats in J, new economy in Y and regular ICE.

Aircraft changes occur regularly on EK011/012 so best to keep checking your seating allocation online using MMB (Manage My Booking) and adjust according to your preference.

Hopefully a EZE service.

I was slightly surprised that QR beat EK on that one.

Air Berlin, Germany's 2nd largest carrier, will start Berlin - Dubai from November 2010 on. Pity, that the discussion on landing rights between Germany's gov and EK is still going on.

If you had bothered to check this thread, you would have noticed that your "news" is "old news".

Unlikely to happen in the 2010/11 nor 2011/12 operating plan. There are at least 2 other Eastern Europe destinations that are likely to start before BEG.

And indeed as someone speculated elsewhere, Emirates will be starting flights to Baghdad. Flights will operate Tue, Thu and Sat to begin with, using a 3 class A330-200.

An update to the 2010/2011 operating plan

Effective 7 June 2010:

An additional frequency on Monday will be added on EK927/928 DXB-CAI-DXB using 3-class B777-200ER.

Effective 31 October 2010:

2 additional frequencies on Wednesday and Sunday will be added on EK927/928 DXB-CAI-DXB using 3-class A330-200.

As a result of these frequency increases, Cairo moves upto a 13x weekly.

Effective 3 and 22 June and through to end of October:

2 additional frequencies on Thursday and Tuesday respectively will be added on EK3815/3816 DXB-RUH-DXB (the limited period extra services) using 3-class A330-200.

As a result Riyadh will move to 11x weekly until the end of October. There-after it reverts back to daily.

All info subject to operational changes.

As has been speculated and subsequently officially announced, Emirates will commence operations to Baghdad (BGW) in Iraq.

Effective 1 July the service will initially operate 3x weekly using 3-class A330-200. Flight timings/days of operation below:

On Thursday and Saturday

EK941 DEP DXB 0700 ARR BGW 0830
EK942 DEP BGW 1030 ARR DXB 1355

On Tuesday

EK941 DEP DXB 0750 ARR BGW 0935
EK942 DEP BGW 1135 ARR DXB 1455

Effective 31 October 2010 the service will increase to Daily using the same equipment. The additional 5 weekly flights will see similar timings to the Thursday and Saturday flight.

Thx for this. Will the aircraft be withdrawn from another destination or is there a new delivery out there?
