Anyone know what is going on, Since I am flying tomorrow I also took a look at further reservations. I have reservations JFK-TLV , TLV -JFK in Dec. and March. It was supposed to be a 787 one way and a 777 the other. It is now showing as a 747 both ways. Any idea what gives. I thought the 747 was supposedly being retired by the end of 2018?

They will be retiring the 767s earlier than expected, so this resulted in aircraft changes to many flights and routes.

UD on the 747 is the best. Until December it can change again

is there anything official/scheduled there?

Obviously, replacing a 767 with a 787 is a much more capacity-similar move, and the 767s are ancient and uncompetitive.

once we get them in YYZ, LY becomes a good option again...

Thanks or responses. Yes, I have no problems sitting UD on the 747. I just wish I was allowed to change my own seats--and not have to ask the agent to do it.

Yes, 2029 sounds realistic for LY

Does anyone know if the wifi is up yet on EWR to TLV? I saw that it was being rolled out in 2018 but have not seen anything that says its up yet.
Thanks

No wifi on the LY 787's.
Remember: Israeli technology is for export use only.

The 787s will be used on other routes are the 767s will be withdrawn faster than expected. Thus, the 787s will be used on secondary routes rather than to NYC where the 744s will be heavily used
