Thats exactly how I don't like them. It tastes like your eating way too much starch. Different strokes I guess.

I just googled them. After seeing photos and reading reviews, they are not at all the type of fries I love. Not thick enough, not enough skin, and not cooked crispy enough. They do look slightly better than the previous limp ones.

This is what it's all about when it comes to fries...

Picture sort of looks like Five Guys Burgers and Fries..

I thought the old Wendy's fries were big and mushy, and much prefer the style shown in the pictures..

I haven't noticed "thicker" - indeed, Wendy's always had thicker fries than BK or McD's and that was always to my taste. Otherwise, pretty much.

They're not my thing; I prefer the old-school semi-squishy, non-over-starched ones. Jack in the Box started the over-starched crispy fries thing back in the mid-1990s, then BK, then Carl's, and as of a year or so ago, Wendy's. I'm not sure which one started adding a bit of skin (mainly on the ends), but while potato skin is a good thing usually I've yet to see a fast food execution of it where it's a win.

What's up with Carl's Jr.. We stopped in on our way from San Francisco to LA, and noticed that they have moved towards a healthier menu.. and quite pricey.. nobody really inside.. a downer..

My wife says she never wants to go back to Carl's Jr. ever again.. my son almost threw up..

Best fries are steak fries or waffle fries from Chik-fil-a. :P

I do love Fuddruckers too though even though I haven't had a burger from there since four years ago..
